Hi Birdie & Kerri, I got told by my MW (lovely guy called James) that if I got exposed to someone with chicken-pox they could do a blood test to check if I was immune so its probably worth a call to your MW.

While I'd rather that DS got the chicken-pox sooner rather than later I hope its not till baby is a few months old at least!

Thank you for sorting out the list bigzippy :)

I've got my 25week appointment tomorrow so I have to remember to ask for the MAT form as work keep asking for it. Its scary and exciting that its not really that long until my mat leave starts in Feb! :D

A quick question to the ladies who have had children.
I've been getting constant period type cramps mainly at the top of my bump that get stronger & weaker but never go away since yesterday lunchtime. No patterns - they seem to be doing what they want. Is this the start of what I'm guessing is a long slow labour?

My friend's said she thinks her little boy has hand, foot & mouth instead of chicken pox.Our new furniture has arrived :) I just need to sort a few boxes in the dining room and the house will be finished yay! Far too tired to do it today though.
I'm on day 3 of pre-washing our reusable nappies, they're taking ages to dry. I've tried 3 different things to try to reduce the timing, will try adding a dry towel to the tumble drier tomorrow on day 4 to see if that works. Is anyone else using reusables?

I use reusables kerri_dw. What fabric nappy do you have?
We don't have a tumble dryer so they get dried on the radiator or on the line. We have a dehumidifier which helps dry them out. I never got on with bamboo nappies because they took so long to dry!

We used/will be using again two part Little Lambs in fleece to start with and then moving onto our TotBots which DS is still using atm.

A good tip to get them 'stripped' is to leave them on the line for a day in the rain - it rinses them out.

Off the cloth nappy track but......I want chocolate!

I've got bumg3n1us e1ementals AIO for their absorbancy and because I have sensitive skin so does Daddy, we wanted cotton ones. Just been looking at getting a bidet shower fitted to the loo to help wash them off, not sure if it's really necessary or not though.

Amy - hope the reflexology kicks things off for you :)

I'll ask on our local nappy page how other bumgenius users get their nappies dry kerri_dw. They might have some useful tips as I'm not familiar with bumgenius'.
We don't have a bidet shower so I'd say its not necessary but I bet it comes in useful! If you have a bf baby then you can just chuck the whole nappy (including poop) into the wash. Ff babies tend to have more solid poops so a liner or a bidet comes in useful.

Ohhhhhh, I like sounding like I know things! :D

Aw lovely thank you :) Hoping to bf, but we'll see how it goes. I reckon they'll probably dry quicker when there's only half a load of them in the wash. It's the compromise we have to make I guess between absorbency and ease of washing, they look super easy to use though even OH thought so. Although he's fretting about our leccy bill atm.

Kerri I've got a couple of those nappies, they do take a while I've never tumbled ours though (I think it isn't great for washable nappies) but I tend to peg them on an airer by the top or middle booster bit inside (can't remember technical terms!) you might find its worth investing in an electric airer (Lakeland do one) it works out much cheaper than running a tumble dryer. They are lovely nappies nice without hassle of stuffing inserts in but as they are AIO drying takes much longer x
I've got size 1 little lambs bamboo to begin with, is it obvious my son was a summer baby?! They take 3 days to dry so I'm hoping baby soon fits into the tots bots easyfits as they dry much quicker (but aren't v absorbent).

    Enjoy reflexology Amy!

I feel like my body is trying to prepare for baby, I'm so exhausted, cannot sleep at night and losing loads of my plug. I'm sure nothing will happen in the next week though x
