  • what a coincidence, I was just looking at stuff for my baby shower and fell in love with this range! I'm not sure I want to pay £2.50 for 8 disposable plates tho!

I've been to mothercare and bought more sleepsuits. I love this kind of baby shopping. Especially sale stuff :) 27+5

    Hi Ladies

I haven't posted for a while as I have been away but have been catching up on my phone; congrats to the new mummies and hi to the newbies!

Just plodding along here at 26+5; no major problems apart from intermittent heartburn and the odd bout of constipation (nice!). Have bought and started listening to the natal hypnotherapy programme here which I got second hand for £25 and have found it really good so far; I love the thought of being calm during labour and using relaxation techniques (although OH thinks its all a little "woo" for him!).

I was reading this earlier and thought I'd share with you. I have felt all sorts of different movements and wondered what they were so this is quite interesting!

Hope everyone is well and not suffering too much in the heat. Labour vibes to those in need :) xx

  • Evening all...

Just popping on to say hi and also say how today I've just realised how much I still have to do..

Where does the time go??? I'm 29+2 and people at work were asking me about childminders and childcare etc and what I'm going to do

I haven't sorted everything out for baby let alone for a 8 mth old when I return to work next May.

Not going to stress too much, as 2 weeks today I'll be on summer holidays so full intend to use those 6 weeks to get everything ready. Though still feel like I have loads more time, yet aware at the same time that I don't, as weird as that sounds.

Got one very active baby today considering I have an anterior placenta..

Good luck with the move - Southend is lovely, have you lived in Essex before?

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me Poppy27! :)

Yes, actually. I lived in Romford all my life and then moved to Ipswich for a year for a one-year job offer (coming to an end this July!) and then I will be moving back to Essex to live with my fiance in Southend - I am so excited to be going back! [Long distance relationship is wubbish in comparison!]

I will have to look into the pregnant yoga. I just enjoy the aquanatal so much, I always feel refreshed and like I am actually doing something good for my body (and baby!). I will go swimming though if I cannot find one.

    Thank you again :)

Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

NikkiAnn - I went in to labour within 24 hours of having my show with both of my girls so keeping everything crossed you are well on your way now!

To the ladies with gestational diabetes, I have gestational diabetes so if there is anything useful I can pass on information wise please feel free to contact me x

I went up to see my girls today (they're still away on holiday!) and we went to an open farm, they all had a ball - place was fab! They got to see lots of animals, biggest hit was the kittens, I needed to do a head count before we left to make sure the girls hadn't brought them back with them. There was go karting, pony rides, assault course, a quad train and we all went on a tractor tour of the farm. Well, we nearly wet ourselves laughing on that, it was so bumpy our butts actually left the seats several times, it was like a white knuckle ride - the farmer who was driving hadn't spotted me sitting on the tractor and commented that he was going to have to put up a health and safety warning (and wants Wriggler named after him if I go into labour tonight!) Back up tomorrow and staying for a couple of nights.

Hi I did Aquafit classes from about 4 weeks after C-section. They were in the mornings and the rest of the regular ladies were OAPS. It was very gentle and the instructor always said at the start of classes "if you're pregnant or have back problems etc let me know and I'll tell you the exercises you shouldn't do- such as squats". It might be worth looking into if there's no Aquanatal in your area.
Keep meaning to look into something like this myself. I have free membership of our local authority leisure centres but haven't been in ages.:rotfl: Mind you my toddler is keeping me active lol
