Hiya girls

I posted about how easy to take it during pregnancy and then disappeared off as I have been working long long shifts. Seen my midwife today and she suggested I do slow down a little although I left out many a detail such as working long hrs as she isnt happy at all with me working till due date.

That said I'm in fine health bar the bit of spotting I've been having. I actually feel really well having had a bit of a slump at weekend. Apart from the fact I'm too hot! She did mention that I look great and my bump is perfect...unless she says that to all the women! Probably!

Anyway hope your all coping with the heat. A bit cooler where I am today but not when I've been on my feet all day here there an everywhere, cleaning and now cooking a veggie cottage pie...

As well as 2 bedside lamps for our room which have 3 different brightnesses which'll be good for night feeds. Also ordered a wall sticker for above our bed saying "Always & Always" which is a wee joke between OH and I which I think is lovely, he'll probably think it's naff :rotfl:

Getting very excited about getting my house finished now!!

Tidying the bedroom tonight and giving the bathroom another quick once over. Tomorrow is hoovering and giving the bedroom/bathroom a once over and so on...I will have a tidy house eventually!

Ooh I love them too but I fell in love with the tree when someone posted it on an earlier thread. Still need to get a lampshade & curtains.

Thanks ladies.
As I arrived at the hospital I got a phone call to say they had overbooked and needed to cancel the appointment. Told them no chance as I was already there, so was seen but it was quite rushed. No advice re food etc apart from a leaflet, stuff for testing blood and lots of forms to fill in over the next week re blood sugar levels. Three more scans now booked in though (first one next week) and consultant and specialist midwife appointments. Bump doesn't seem to know the trouble he's causing and is merrily kicking away though, which is reassuring. I sat in a team meeting this morning watching my belly move.
Am annoyed with OH as he's told his mother about the diabetes and although she's shown absolutely no interest in the baby so far she's given a load of edicts about what I should and shouldn't be doing (all either common sense or ridiculous). He has apologised but knows he's in the bad books.

I have an appt at that time & it's a scan too - although it's due to low lying placenta so they need to scan. they also told me I would be having a 34 week scan due to BMI over 30.

Had GTT yesterday. They said they will phone if anything is wrong. If I haven't heard in a week then it's ok. Also had MW on Monday for 25 week appt. she listened to baby's heartbeat & checked my urine& BP. Nothing else so in there 10 mins.

I think I could get told to slow down too. Working fairly long days (quite usual) & not really slowed in heat. Feel generally ok. Bit tired today so left work at 5 & planning a quiet evening.

Thought I'd update as I didn't realise I hadn't put myself on the list and we had our 20 week scan today even though I'm actually 21 weeks!

DH was happy, but if she had said boy he was all ready to jump in to a gown and have the snip. I'm chuffed as I knew it was going to be another girl- I had a gut feeling and it means I don't have to go and buy loads of new stuff plus I might get my wish to have 3 children. Dh is tempted, but at the same time I think he would be mortified if we had 3 girl, he'd have to go and get a male puppy to try and even the odds!!
