    Hello :)

I did read the instructions, but my laptop won't let me copy the due dates list (broken touchpad and such!) but I'm a first timer due on 14th November 2013.

I was hoping someone might be able to help. I currently go to aquanatal classes in Ipswich (they are brilliant, I love it!) and I am moving to Southend in a few weeks. I have tried searching the internet, with no luck, for aquanatal classes in the Southend area.

Does anyone know of any aquanatal classes in the Southend area? Please? :)

Had my GTT yesterday and got a phone call today to say my levels were too high, so urgent appointment at the hospital tomorrow. Will have to wait and see what they say. My arm is already covered in bruises from yesterday's blood tests.

mine was a meeting with consultant who specializes in Diabetes in pregnancy. Along with a specialist mw and 2 other diabetic workers. They went through a plan of action (more scans) and how to manage it. Mine is diet controlled with my blood sugars tested before breakfast and then an hour after breakfast, lunch and dinner. They ring me once a week to check my readings and levels.

this is a great website and they have a forum where you can ask questions as well http://www.diabetes.co.uk/

I've been to the mw and had a sweep, I'm already 2cm dilated and cervix is very favourable apparently. She could feel his head and said the sweep was successful. Ive had bleeding since but just when I wipe which she said was normal. Have also had period like cramps but just started getting worse now...I guess that could be good? mw suggested going for a long walk but in this sticky heat it's the last thing I want to do!

NikkiAnn - I reckon you will start having contractions within 48 hours - the same thing happened to me - and the period pains stayed with me for 2 whole days and then at the end of the 2nd day.....hey presto! Go for a walk this evening in the cooler air - walking around the shops I swear made my waters break!

Sounds like you are imminent......oooh how exciting.....I am sticking with this thread to see out the ladies that I was with! I cannot believe my little one is now over 2 weeks old - seems like only yesterday I was talking cookies and cake with you guys! Don't forget to take loads of over-due belly pics!!! x

Haha I know I shouldn't google but it's an instinct: if in doubt, ask doctor google! I'll be going on my own as OH can't get time off work at such short notice, I'll take a notebook and make copious notes I think.
  • good luck Nikki!

    glad baby has turned Girlzmum

I'm making the most of rest and doing what I want and spending loads of time with OH. I think we'll need the nice memories to look back on when we're both completely sleep deprived! I'm getting ankle swelling for the first time in my life. The joy of pregnancy lol. On a plus note, bubba is moving and I love it!

Evening all. well I am melting in this heat! Our house has coombed ceilings upstairs and it's like an oven. I slept on sofa for 3 hours last night just to try to get some sleep - was like a half shut knife at work today but only 3 days to go - hooray!

DS (almost 3) is really trying our patience just now, terrible 2 tantrums day and night! OH and DD are away out tonight so when DS fell asleep an hour ago I decided to treat myself to a small glass of wine. It was like nectar!!

I would be quite happy to queue jump and go early instead of waiting another 4 weeks :)

    Sounds promising Nikki :)
Girlzmum glad your baby is no longer breech :j
Tiny courageous I have the glucose test next week- the thought of controlling my diet when pregnant fills me with dread. :(
Well another day in the Sun today, yesterday was a school trip, 28 degrees and today was Sports Day. Struggled with heat- frustrating cos I usually love the Sun, and its so rare in this country! Anyway I feel totally drained, headache etc. Also at the end of the day I had a dreadful pain across the top of my bump. I'm sure it was just trapped wind or acid but anyway people were panicking and trying to persuade me to go to A&E  No way was I going to spend all evening there! Anyway all better now :)
