All the booby talk had me amused over lunchtime but didn't feel right responding from a work computer! Mine feel very messy, nips much darker, a little bit bumpy and my neat circles have turned into crazy shapes! Glad to hear I'm not the only one... They don't tell you about this stuff beforehand do they?
Welcome newbies (and may your boobs stay beautiful) :)

  • 39wks today! And I'm here for another moan!!

Developed SPD over the last few days, building up to yesterday where I could only crawl/cry. Agony in bed and didn't sleep until 2/3

So today i ring Dr for app hoping to get crutches, and maybe a cheeky sweep! Dr gives me telephone consultation, says she wants to send me to hospital right away. Take bag, notes etc.

I get excited/scared, convinced something will be poked about & baby will be on her way!!

Go to hospital 1hr away, midwife says shes not sure why I've been sent in, they can't give me crutches, and no they won't be doing any sweeps etc despite knowing I'm at risk if I go overdue (giant babies!)
I tell them I can't cope anymore, every part of my body is in agony 24/7, this is my 3rd pg, so I know that it is hurty/uncomfortable, but I can't go on, not eating much as so stressed/upset/depressed, not sleeping, theres nothing left to give & no energy to give birth when I get there.

Didn't even give me an internal, just a belly poke & pee test!

Bl00dy Dr! Why send me in?!

Having a sulk in bed :-(

Oh, and i have extra nipples around my aerola! And white dots under skin, but only seen drops of milk, no leaks :-(

    Hi ladies,
Have had a downer of a day today, really don't like being pregnant at all...I thought I would love it but so far nope! Have not had that 'blooming' stage yet, full of aches n pains, I moan all day and the only thing I enjoy is feeling little man move around. I know I shouldn't moan and I am lucky I am pregnant but uurrrghhhh I feel pants.

Becca I had my 24 wk midwife appointment last week and it was just bp and wee checks along with listening to the heartbeat.

Back to work tomorrow after 4 days off, 12 weeks till mat leave.....not that I am counting or anything!!

  • My plug has been coming away and regenerating for ages. Every time the day after extracurricular activities with my OH it happens. Dr Google says not to worry as in some people it happens with any increased activity in the area and all scans etc have been fine with lots of movement so I'm not worried.

I have a growth scan tomorrow (27+4), because I have GD they'll be more frequent up until the birth. Hopefully we'll be able to tell the gender because at the 20 week scan the cord was in the way. Fingers crossed! Plus the placenta was quite low lying so hopefully that will have moved.

I hope the scan goes well Durham-girl I have my growth scan this week too. So far my bump etc have been measuring comfortably within a health range and I am just hoping this continues.

We also had a rant about how fed up we are of people saying 'You have no idea what you're in for', 'It's harder than you can ever imagine', 'You'll never go on holiday again' blah blah blah. Why do people insist on saying rubbish like this? Are they trying to put us off? (It's a bit late for that!), warn us, scare us?! I think that instead of trying to scare first time parents it would be nice if people could be positive... to just keep freaking quiet as I'm frankly quite sick of people gushing 'Oh, you've got no idea what love is until you're a parent' etc too! So basically... I just want people to !!!!!!! :rotfl:

I get so sick of people saying this to first time mums!! I had this when I announced I was expecting my son, apparently our life was over and we would never have a holiday again. Well I can safely say 3 years later we have had 3 wonderful holidays and our lives certainly haven't ended! I will admit holidays (and everything) is different as your priorities change/ things you do on a holiday but I will say its made everything so much better. Thereas in the old days we would go on holiday, drink far too much, sleep it off next day or just laze on beach now we get up enjoy a lazy family breakfast, go for days out, play in the sand etc. My son has just made holidays much more enjoyable! We have even managed to go out for drinks/ meals in the evening while he slept in the pushchair *terrible parent* :p I always get negative comments from MIL, she kept going on about us having another baby, as soon as I announced our pregnancy again she's saying 'your life is over' she can naff off though! It will be difficult with 2 to begin with but I cant wait :)

Glad you enjoyed your scan BigZippy :) DH loved ours so much we went back for another LOL! It was nice for him to be so excited!

Oh dear, what have I started off with talk of starting to lose my plug?!
haha indeed what have you started?! Do you think you are still losing it? I seem to be :S

    *hugs* MoneySaving xxx

DurhamGirl that makes sense, I am sure last time my plug seemed to keep coming away for 5 weeks so it makes sense it 'regenerates' x hope the scan goes ok

Re:leaking - last time I leaked terribly from 20 weeks, I went through 100s of pads so got some washable pads this time. Well I have used them once! No leaking since, all very strange. I've got this funny feeling my boobs are broken and my milk wont come in:rotfl: DH wants me to decide whether I am going to FF or BF, I said I cant say for definite as I want to try BFing and if it doesn't work then FF. But I am really not sure?

No show today. Sorry, tmi and I may start off something again but I'm having to change my undies during the day cos they're soaked. Going to ask the midwife about it tomorrow. I assume it's me just leaking/wetting myself a little bit :o

Hi guys, I've just moved up from the other thread as I'm 24 weeks today.

I'm the third to join you today with a due date of 3rd March, must be a popular date. :rotfl: Sorry to leave it until midnight but it's been a hell of a day.

Team Lowe good luck with the GTT. It's boring! (and I still don't know my results! Oops!)

Frano, I would just get yourself a couple of bump bands for the support factor. I end up wearing mine with my over the bump jeans because the over the bump elastic goes slacker quicker imo. I wear them under my dungarees and onesie etc too when I want more support ;)

Of course we'd like to see a pic BZ! So glad you enjoyed it and your OH sounds like the sweetest man! :)
    I think so, but I'm biased :D:o

Ellie2009 honestly i swear when i'm done with pregnancy i'm going to write a book 'what they don't tell you happens during pregnancy'. my latest one is that i have what can only be described as tiny skin tags on my nipples. how i've managed that i'll never know.
Me too. Since the first trimester
I've gained a couple of new ones on my arms too
BigZ so pleased the scan went so well, even if little one wasn't cooperating lol i just know my little awkward so and so wouldn't, she's very camera shy, haven't got a decent picture of her yet lol in fact at the anamoly scan when the lady said 'she doesn't seem to want me to take a picture' she put her hands over her face and turned her back to us! that'll be me told then lol
looking forward to a non freaky pic of MiniZ hehe
Thanks :) shall oblige when I suss it out from my phone...! Our 12, and even 7, week scan pics were great, but the 20 week one is almost impossible to decipher!

Awww BZ your description of your DH & the scan just made me all teary! How lovely :) would be lovely to see a pic.
He has the same effect on me ;):o He keeps going to look at the keyring on his keys in the front door/the fridge magnet and cooing over MiniZee :A
I have my 24 week mw appt tomorrow - I take it it's just more wee and BP checks?!
Probably a fundal height measurement and listen to the heartbeat, too, but if they do it like my midwife had the past twice, it might be with a stupid horn thing, rather than a doppler so you might not get to hear it too

I have my 31 week appointment tomorrow (well, today now ;) at 31+6 ) so will be along what cough syrup I can take as I've got a tickle that is developing. DH has got a man bug, and I'm not feeling great either, so hope it doesn't progress into much. Got 3 appointments tomorrow but then hoping for a quiet week, so hopefully I get rest enough to keep it at bay

Oh and I mentioned to my friend, when she asked what else we needed still, about the gro egg and she said she had 2 she wasn't using and we could have those! :money: She's already given us all the stuff her little one has grown out of (7/8 months old) and saved us a fortune! Very lucky!

Shall pop back to post a pic when I work out the technologies ;)
