TL - Good Luck with your GTT today. Hope the lucozade doesn't make you gag:p I still don't have my results but the midwife did tell me tht the letter would take two weeks if everything was OK but I would get called back in sooner if there was a problem so no news is good news:D
BZ - that is a much better pic than my SIL got with her 3D scan.
kScarlet. - We are probably planning more trips away after bump is born. First one to Holland in May to show junior to my OH family in Holland.
Angelmommy - He is absolutely beautiful. What a great picture. You must be so proud.
MSM - Hugs for the rotten day. Hope you enjoy your day in bed.
Welcome to Kynthia and smlsave.0 -
firefly369, you're going to Holland in May can I ask how you'e getting there and how old your LO will be when you go? DH and his family want us to go camping when DD will be 3 months and Ds will be 3yrs - I am not looking forward to a 9 hour car journey!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

KScarlett, I wish more people were positive like you are! Whenever we mention taking the baby away (we're planning a little 4/5 day trip to Spain next summer just to see how we get on!) all people do is scoff, whilst others ask what the point is as he won't remember... but we will and surely the holidays are just as much for us as they ar for him?!0

Hi all, routine midwife appointment led to two hours in hospital to check my waters hadn't broken (they haven't- just lots of watery discharge eurgh!). I tried to tell my midwife it was probably my lack of bladder control lol. Baby seems happy so that's all that matters.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Firefly - I wouldn't put a 3mnth old in a car for 9 hrs! They're not meant to be in the car seat for that long, let alone the fact you might end up with a crying baby for most of the journey. Saying that though, I've told OH I won't be taking her for longer than 30min journeys before she can hold her head up herself anyway as I don't think it's fair. We are going to go camping at a festival near Ipswich when she's 7 months old though, but we'll definitely stop along the way.
Vic - glad they're keeping an eye on you.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I think you mean me KerriI'm tempted to cry the entire journey myself or just spend the weeks before doing so to see if I can get out of it. 2hrs is the max baby should be in car seat, if I remember correctly so I'll be insisting on proper break but still........I just don't want to!!!!

Sorry SmlSave, yes I did mean you. I think when she's 7 months we're travelling about 4-5hrs, but I was going to suggest to OH we stop somewhere on the way overnight. I've already told him I'm not taking her down to my parents (2.5hrs) or to his Mum's (4.5hrs) until she's a lot bigger as it's not fair on the little mite.
Pregnancy brain has kicked in again, went to Mr M for gravy and came out with crisps, chocolate, cake, pudding, and NO gravy! Eugh. I'll have to walk up to Mr T now as we can't have dinner without gravy, it'll be too dry.
For the less squeamish, I did find an article earlier that explained how to check your own cervix for dilation. I didn't even know it was possible to check your own, but it looked quite easy and no need for stirrups!Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Haha love it!
I couldn't stand the thought of perinium massage, but could almost be talked into self checking for dialation as I am so desperate.
I was going to google how to sweep, but decided against it as dangerous really!
Also while I'm here I will admit to a castor oil trial last week, and it didn't work (obviously!)
I'd not been no2 for 3days, and i read that can block babies entrance, so when I saw that CO causes squits, i thought it was worth trying as both problems solved!
I had 1tablespoon, gagged alot, then downed a glass of coke, and it was a miracle I didn't puke!
This was about 9am, by 12 i felt very nauseous and got in bed, had a nap for 2hrs, woke up, felt ok, went to the toilet that eve, but no signs of labour!
Haven't bothered since! They do say 4oz and repeated every 12hrs, but I don't want to mess with things. But ask me again at 41wks and you'll probably get a different answer!:j - DS - 7
