I think towards the end there is an increase in discharge (is it gross I wish I would have paid more attention last time?!) I just cannot remember!! Did you pack your bag this weekend Mrs?! I completely forgot :o

No  I did put in a few bits for hubby though lol.

Msm I'm the same re: breastfeeding, the only ladies I know how have breastfed successfully had smaller breasts- I'm up to 40H and I just don't think the logistics of it are going to work. I've decided I'm guna put some money aside, give breastfeeding the old college try but if it doesn't work out get the perfect prep and bottles etc

I have struggled to bf & one of my challenges is breast size - don't want to put anyone off! Each of my boobs is bigger than her head & needs a couple of hands to get in position. I've mixed expressing & formula. Might have another go on the breast tomorrow. I've had some support re positioning but still struggled.

Just thought I would pop in & say that I have 40gg boobs & even though they are bigger than dd head we have been breast feeding successfully (there have been ups & downs but I think the benefits out weigh the bad times - think inverted nipple & bad latch!)

It was tricky in the beginning but I think it was because dd was lazy & wanted it given to her via cup/syringe (in hospital) I used the hospital pumps for the first week but got a tommy tippee manual pump when got home & have been fine

I would suggest holding off on the purchase of any pumps or even bottles etc until bubs arrives - you don't want to waste the money!

    Just my tuppence worth x

ooh that's a bit of a hard choice isn't it, which would you rather have, nipples that leak or have random bits of skin? lol
    I currently have both! :rotfl:

edit: Hopefully will be back soon with pics ... where does the time go?? ;)

Ooooh big hugs for you MSM, sounds like a rotten day yesterday! Hope you have a better day today, cuddle up with a hot water bottle and try to get some rest. Really hope this baby comes sooner rather than later!

Hugs for MrsBunny too. I thought pregnancy would be a breeze but I have changed my mind! :o

Hope the scan goes well durham_girl, fingers crossed baby is behaving today and flashes you! :)

KScarlett, I wish more people were positive like you are! Whenever we mention taking the baby away (we're planning a little 4/5 day trip to Spain next summer just to see how we get on!) all people do is scoff, whilst others ask what the point is as he won't remember... but we will and surely the holidays are just as much for us as they ar for him?!

Mini-Zee is lovely! No wonder your OH keeps cooing! :)

Blimey, for a second I thought you meant you'd be back with pics of your boobs OTHG! :rotfl:

I was woken up this morning by the baby's stupidly violent hiccups, then he was obviously miffed about that so started kicking and punching! Just what you need first thing! :p He hasn't settled down yet either!

  • Birdie I will admit it isn't all a breeze but I would honestly say having my son has given more point to our lives if that makes sense?! Yes going away as a couple is fab but it's so much more fun with a LO! Just seeing their face light up when you take them different places/ do different things. Although it's still 'work in progress' I'm putting together a scrap book of all the places my son has been, I know he won't remember them as he gets older but he can look through the book and see all the things he did. I find special occasions like birthdays/ Christmas etc just have so much more meaning now. Christmas used to be me and DH rowing over whose family we were going to, now we have our own and seeing your LO opening all their presents/ having a great time is the best thing (and the fact we don't go to MILs is just another added bonus!) I think people love harping on about how awful it is when it really isn't! Why would people have kids if it was so awful?! X

Lol Vic! I really must sort mine this week! Having silly dilemmas about what size snowsuit to pack for baby (I don't like the newborn one we have the the 0-3 is huge..) also must get formula cartons/ find bottles etc. time has flown can't believe I've been off work 2 weeks!! X

Awww Joshua is gorgeous look at that face :)

I bought some wall stickers for our nursery last night, been taking my sweet time about getting them but finally decided on a non-gender-specific tree and alphabet :) Educational and pretty all in one.

I have a real itch for painting our dining room today, it needs doing but I'm wondering if I'll be able to reach the ceiling. Worth a try I guess. I need to do the top bit before I can paint the lime green on the bottom, otherwise OH will flip out that I've gone with the lime green afterall ;) I have found an extension pole for the roller so it's just the cutting in that'll be a pain I think.

Oh Joshua is just adorable! :)

So nice to know everything just gets better with a LO KScarlett! :) We can't wait to be a little family unit, I got stupidly giddy at the thought that I'd be able to meet OH and DS at the park on a lunchtime when I'm back at work instead of going home every day! :) I'm also excited about going to a local stately home that has a great kid's play area and a miniature train for littlies to go on, we'd have felt a bit weird going without a child but now we can go every summer! :)
