We are supposed to be going to stay a weekend with OH's mum in a few weeks.. I will be 32.5 weeks. Mine have arrived at 30-37 weeks.. should we take all the hospital/baby stuff just in case???

OH said yes of course like I was asking if grass was green.. but I don't want to cart an extra bag of stuff and car seat and lord knows what else 200 miles and back again for 2 days.. and I can't be arrised to pack the bags and stuff yet either :p... I'm pretty sure we'd have time to spend the weekend there and get back even if my waters broke on the way there!! I don't do anything quick!

So what would you lot do??

.. see.. pregnancy #18 and I still need daft questions answering!

Yeah....that's what I'm worried about!!

I'm already bricking it on how to look after a boy. Girls are easy as I have girl parts and know how to look after myself....but I dunno how to look after a boy. What the hell do I do with his willy?!?! Point it down, leave it as it?

Hehehe im sick of little willies, after 3 boy younger cousins and two of my own....

Pretty sure im going to have another little willy squirting wee at me. Went to midwife and am measuring 2 weeks ahead, as im only diddy I cant imagine having a big girl, so have come to the conclusion its another boy taking after his daddy like the other two!

Not a silly question at all toothfairy, but yes there is a difference. Birth balls have a double layer instead of a single layer so that if for any reason they were to burst there is a slower let down of air, meaning you won't go flat on ur back or bump depending on how ur using it at the time. Also I'm not sure about the size of exercise balls, but you need to get the right size for your height. You need to be stable and have your feet flat on the floor so with birth balls you have a choice of a 55 or 65 depending on if you are under 5'4 or over. :)

I don't think i would bother. You'll have overnight stuff with u anyway and the hospital should have some spare stuff for baby if it came to it or just send OH out to get a couple of things to do u until u get home. Just my opinion though - if u are thinking that things will kick off that early then maybe take a few things for u and a few for baby instead of the whole kit just in case?

That's what I said.. plus it'd be in a week or 2 at that gestation so pointless carting the whole lot there.. I don't feel it will be that early tbh.. with the really early 2 I'd had issues all along.. niggling contractions, engaged, leaky waters etc.. I have none of that at the moment and if I felt it might happen suddenly I simply would refuse to go.

He reckons we are tempting fate not taking it.. I said well we can stay at home then :p... I'd much prefer that!!

On the subject of mattresses, do you know if you need a new mattress even for siblings, I was hoping to use the moses basket and cot I used for my little one for his little sister when she comes, I have heard if you are buying from a stranger it is not safe but is it ok to use in same family?

Generally yes it is ok but if there are any marks, mould, or dents in it.. like where the older one laid their head you should get a new one.

I used the same mattresses for my boys, I think as long as you know the history of the mattress youre ok.

How far is home to hospital Pigpen? You could have it packed ready but leave it at home, then if baby comes, you'd be staying in anyway and OH could just pop home and pick it up when you needed it.
