Actually I got given iron tablets last week so it probably is due to low iron, maybe they take a few days to really kick in.

Got a docs appt now- flying on Friday and I need my Fitness to Fly certificate signing. However I found out my new surgery don't sign these so I'm not sure if it'll get signed or not. How annoying!!

feeling tired today :( loving the sun being our though :)

MW apt tomorrow for possible stretch and sweep - feeling nervous about it, anyone with experience of having one before being overdue? I will be 39+2, I've heard it can be worse before 40 weeks?

Also, (really girly of me) but what should I wear to the apt?

They've been trying to do them on me since 38 weeks but haven't actually got anywhere yet :( I don't know if it's worse but I guess they have to be a bit more heavy-handed if your body is less ready. It's uncomfortable but someone has their hand up your parts feeling around so it's never going to be pleasant! :o

Clothing-wise, I've been opting for a dress/tunic top and leggings. Then I can wear big pants with a pad, as once it has caused some bleeding after and I think if it's successful, bleeding is a common thing.

Went to go wake DD2 up earlier, peeked round the corner and she wasn't in bed...

    Aw how cute neneromanova!

Re. GTT - I am having one purely because my BMI at 12 weeks was 30.5 - 0.5 over the threshold. But from what I've read it's a safe test and worth having 'just in case' so I'm going ahead with it - 2 hours of feeling crappy in a hospital waiting room is worth it IMO.

Re. mattresses, I think the general consensus is that new is always best. They are not too expensive and can be bought from shop or online at babymattressesonline.co.uk or similar. I'll be getting a new one for my carry cot as I bought our travel system second hand off ebay.

Re. birth balls, my MIL has an exercise ball so I might just borrow that near the end! apparently they are good for getting baby into the right position!

    And finally....Congrats MrsJ!

Feeling big kicks in the mornings now. Trying hard to pick up on baby's routine.

    aww nene so cute!

Thanks for the new thread. I feel like I'm hurtling up the list too! 32 weeks tomorrow and kung-foo baby still giving me a good hiding on a daily basis!

MW told me at my last check up 2 weeks ago that baby was measuring a bit small, so I needed to take things a bit easier to help her put on a bit of weight. I'm trying not to worry..I have a GP appointment next week to check progress and see if baby has caught up.

Claree - never used a birthing ball myself but know lots of people who swear by them.

Bump doesn't seem to be moving at all today :( Keeps worrying me but he's not a very active baby it seems. I'll mention it to the Midwife next Tuesday but I dunno if I should ring up sooner and ask her if it's normal. The 2 girls were kicking Day and night but I'm just guessing as this is a Boy he's being Lazy. I hope so anyway.

(I'll be coming back here in soon saying he won't stay quiet, wish he'd settle down for 5 mins soon :rotfl: )

    I can't use the balls.. I sit on, I fall off, I can't get up.. I'm a twit!

Nene.. some babies move very little.. Dot and DD2 rarely moved I was lucky to feel just a couple of wiggles each day. I had an anterior placenta with the last few as well which does make a bit of a difference.. so long as you feel 10 individual movements.. not sessions of movement.. in a 24 hour period they usually seem happy enough. DD2 was always asleep.. she was scanned every 1-2 weeks because she simply never moved.. she is nearly 16 now and isn't any better! Dot was a slobby lazy baby and more than makes up for it now!! Are you a busy bunny today? If you are moving more you might be missing the wriggles.. go sit down or lie on the bed and wait for wriggles.. usually a cold drink or ice lolly or fizzy drink will set them off..

My placenta is at the back so I should feel it. I've felt 2 jiggles today, not kicks. I'll wait until tonight, that's normally when he wakes up. Just hope this isn't things to come.
