    Hi everyone,

Not due to officially join you until next week but wanted to ask whether any of you were diagnosed with low lying placenta as I have been. If so, how did things go for you?
Mine was low lying at the anomaly scan last pregnancy but had moved up by my next scan at 28 weeks. I think they usually rescan at around 32-34 weeks and the majority have moved up by then.
  • Hello ladies! Can't believe how many births we've had recently!!

Well I'm still bl00dy here! Agonising pains in the bits & belly mean nothing!
38+2 now, so at least baby is stronger, but now I'm worrying about size, she must be coming up for 8lbs by my boys measurements. (If it were a boy i'd say not far off 9!)

I'm having a right sulk, and my midwife has been mean again, my keytones were off the chart & she said my body is in starvation mode! Then she weighed me & said I hadn't put enough weight on. In pg (she made it 5lbs gain, but I've checked their starting weight at 10 wks & thats well over my normal weight! I think i gained alot in 1st pg this year, then got pg straight after, so actually had 8lb of early pg face stuffing)

Made me feel terrible, again! Like i'm starving myself on purpose so i don't have a big baby (def implied) felt like sayin well maybe if u hadn't panicked me last app saying I was gping to pop any day, then I wouldn't have been so stressed for 2wks & might have relaxed & eaten better!! Grrr!

Cried all the way home. OH was useless, didn't even hug me when i came back blubberingq like a baby!

Then he moaned a me, said i wasn't looking after myself. He then fell asleep on the sofa, leaving me to do school run, and go to supermarket. Instead of relaxing/eating, when I got back DS2 had been running wild making a mess, OH hadn't done anything at home or fed him!! I know it was his first day off work in 2wks, but I've been working (mostly PT) & running house!
Went on one, and asked him to hoover upstairs(i've asked for over a wk as hoover to heavy to carry up), he did such a crappy job, & took it back downstairs I ended up carrying it up & doing it properly myself!

Massive arguement, then bed, crying! Really healthy for me & baby eh?! :-(

Big hugs to Money Saving Mama and Team Lowe- hope you're both feeling brighter soon.
Faithhope - I had low placenta spotted at my 20 week scan too and am booked in to be re-scanned at 34 weeks just before Christmas. I've been reassured that it often corrects itself, and in fact my sister had the same thing with one of her pregnancies and it did! I'm not sure what the plan is if the 34 week scan shows that its still low down, I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Big hugs Moneysavingmamma, these men just don't understand do they. I was in tears last night too because we were trying to order take-away and it just wasn't happening how it was meant to, felt much better after a cry though. I'm sure your baby is fine, I really don't like your MW though, your baby is going to be the perfect size she shouldn't be worrying you. Don't these MW's know that worrying pregnant women is BAD!!! grrr xxx

Chocolate is giving me heartburn today, I might cry again :( Have put the heating on as the cats were looking cold x

TL - Hope the blob is just from your cervix, if you are concerned I would ring the midwife. Do you have an upcoming appointment?

Rummer - Glad to hear that everything was alright in the end. Sounds like you have a little prankster on your hands;)

Vic - Yay for full term. Won't be long now....:D

Eek! I have stretching type pains at the side of my bump today, definitely made worse by driving.

    Hugs moneysavingmamma xx

    Hi again ladies
Called triage after I posted here and got told to go in to be checked over, so had to drive home from work 30 miles in rush hour traffic

All is fine, no explanation for bleeding but said I did the right thing and to wear a pad to monitor and ring again if there's any more.

For once little lady played ball and stayed still whilst they was listening to her heartbeat so daddy got to hear it nice and clear :)

It all really upset me as I know it's not the same but getting checked out after spotting was how I found out about the missed miscarriage :'(

Stayed at home and am under strict instructions from mother not to move from the couch lol

MSM big hugs, think you need to get some of my midwives, they're always laid back and reassuring in a northern 'it'll all be reet' sort of way :)
Your midwife needs a kick. As does that husband. I'd be tempted to dob him in to his mother lol

Big hugs MSM, your midwives sound delightful! Hope your OH is nicer to you today too, fair enough, sometimes an hormonal pregnant wife isn't the easiest thing to deal with but give us a cuddle and make some soothing noises and 9 times out of 10 it'll make us feel better! It's not rocket science! :p

Glad everything's looking fine TL, good idea to get plenty of rest and I'm sorry it brought back sad memories. My cure-all for all pregnancy ailments right now is 'Feet up and a choccy bar' so do as you're told. :)

ETA: Forgot my whinge of the day! The sharp pain from this morning never went away so I walked home at lunch thinking it might move the baby if he's causing the pain but it just made me feel worse. By the time I got back to the office my whole bump was aching! So tonight I'll be lying with my feet up and a choccy bar! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I don't recommend running at 7 months pregnant! I ran to catch the postman at the Post Office and as soon as I got there started to have a few tightenings and discomfort in the bottom part of my bump, particularly in my pelvis. I think the little run has made her go down further into my pelvis, although she's not stopped wriggling since! Definitely not running again until she's out lol.
