Hugs to Lily. I fit makes you feel even a little better, my Auntie was up from Darn Sarf last week and she's Sister in charge of a special care baby unit. She said that they don't worry about little ones past 28 weeks. They're pretty much only in need of a stop in SCBU rather than round the clock attention. She called it the "safe zone" after 28 weeks so hopefully, even if your littl eone is a little early, she'll be fine with just a short stop over xx

Just back from a consultant appointment, my medication is too high and causing me not to gain any weight so they sent me for a growth scan. Baby is growing and actually looks like a real baby now instead of a skeleton :D I'm booked in for another growth scan at my 36w appointment and they've lowered my medication so hopefully I'll start to put on a few more cms. Have started the process by buying 2 TTD xmas cakes, crisps, sweets, and doughnuts haha. We've got our first NCT class tonight :)
Hugs to all those that need them xxx

We have an Easi Peasi changer so sounds similar, albeit ours is probably easier to fill and empty and I can honestly say that the only reason we have it is because I'm having a section so think I'll appreciate not having to bend.

Much like Molly's kids, I was bathed in the sink until I was big enough to go in the 'proper' bath and I would have been tempted to do the same with this baby if circumstances were different.

Is there any chance it would fit in the bathroom if you don't want to offend your friend by getting rid of it?
It won't fit in the bathroom, kitchen, en suite, or even nursery I don't think! This friend doesn't visit much so not too concerned about offending her, especially as I did check it would be fine to give it charity or something if we didn't have the space for it, before she gave it us (I hadn't seen how big it was before she brought it over).

I worry I might need a section too, and bending down is painful for me at the best of times, but I guess if I'm that bad, DH will be doing all the bathing anyway...?

I like the look of those trolley bath thingies but agree that they seem to take up a lot of space for no good reason! We've been given a baby bath and that is making me wonder what I'm supposed to do with it, there's going to be a lot of water slopped about between filling it and emptying it! :p I might just buy a bath support and be done with it since that's what everyone says to buy! :)
I reckon is much rather have one of those baby baths that fit across the sofa of the bath, so you don't have to fill a whole bath and is raised up too. Or just a washing up bowl in the kitchen sink lol. A big part of me thinks we won't know what works for us until we're actually doing it... I think if we had a bigger house /rooms I'd keep this to see how it goes at the time, but it's so big!
Feeling pretty good this morning for the first time all week! No aches or pains! Hurrah! :) Baby had hiccups all last night though, when I went to sleep he was still jumping away, and was still having a good wiggle when I woke up this morning! I hope this isn't a sign that he's going to be nocturnal when he's born!
You do know they pretty much are born nocturnal... Right? :p

I think you've passed your pains to me though ;) don't wanna get out of bed today, too achey...

Hugs Lily keeping everything crossed for that little bubba of yours, hopefully she will have a massive growth spurt xx

Speaking of growth spurts my baby's grown again, finally could breath since she'd moved from breech to head down but now she's grown so I'm breathless again. Really finding everything an effort, I'm 36+6 there's no chance I could have worked upto 38 weeks like last time! Although technically I'm still on holiday as I've still got another week holiday until my leave begins :)

Hopefully you start gaining weight Kerri! X

Don't scare me BZ, mine's going to come out knowing the difference between night and day and will sleep through from day one! :D

I'm a bit worried about the bath thing TBH as I'll be doing it on my own most of the time as OH will be at work on an evening. I'm so worried about holding onto a slippery baby that I just can't decide what's the best way to wash him. :o I think we'll just have to try a few different options before deciding. :)

Sorry you've caught my aches... I'm loving today though, I've not felt so good for a while! :) I'm enjoying it while it lasts as I'm well aware that I could wake up feeling sore again tomorrow!

Birdie I think it was IHateDida who recommended this bath http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0037ZTT2A I'm tempted to get one as DH works away so I can't bath our son when he isn't here (thankfully he can stand in the shower!) I like how this holds the baby. I haven't ordered one yet but probably will once baby is here. Tbh babies don't get very dirty, top and tail with a flannel with suffice in the early weeks! X

I hope this baby knows the difference between day and night when she's born as currently she's wriggling all night, I wouldn't mind but she keeps me awake :(

Oooh thanks for the link KScarlet, looks good! I like anything that looks hands free since I get the feeling that I'll be wishing I had 2 pairs of hands otherwise! :)

My baby wriggles all night too, I keep telling him to settle down but he doesn't listen! :p

thanks for the kind thoughts ladies :) no more spotting so must have just been one of those things. DH is blaming it on stress so isn't liking the pressure I'm under organizing the civic remembrance service on sunday. and then this morning i got an email saying the BBC will be filming for a documentary! blimey o riley...

We've got a bog standard baby bath but i'm going to get one of those supports as newborns are slippy! lol

I'm changing doctors so had to change midwife team cos of the move, just called and I don't like my new one, she sounds about twelve and said she'd weigh me next time i saw her. i don't want to be weighed! give me back my old kindly ones please lol also she asked if i'd had my bloods taken and i said no but i'm going for the GTT next week and current midwife said they'd do it and then i'd see her at 29 weeks and this one's said oh well they'll do the checks at the test and see me at 32 weeks. so i don't know if she means go from seeing someone at 28 to 32 or if she thinks i'm still guna go see the old midwife at 29 :s
oh well, if it's only at 32 weeks i don't mind too much cos i don't want to get weighed! lol

TeamLowe you need to take it easy *hugs* if you don't want to be weighed just refuse. I'm opposite I want to be weighed as our scales have broken so I want to know how much I've gained (8lbs about 2 weeks ago) xx

Lol Birdie my son was a night time wriggler when I was pregnant with him, thankfully he was a great sleeper once born. DH keeps warning me that this baby won't be the same.. I hope she is!! Newborns aren't the easiest to bathe, you have to support their head while holding their body too so anything that makes that easier! X

Sorry if TMI but could I be losing my plug at 36w6? I really cannot remember from last time!
