Thanks for all the kind words ladies. You're right, nothing stops me worrying, panicking, stressing, crying and generally being irrational but I have had exceptional care so that helps. It's not them having to deliver her early that is scaring me...it's something happening to her in between one my appointments. I can't even put into words how terrifying it is.
On a slightly happier note, MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to all the ladies who have given birth in the last week! Look at all those names at the beginning of November - how lovely. Abis, as if you are number 2. I remember your cautious BFP announcement...jesus time has flown.
I'm really feeling tired today. Had to take DS with me to Morrisons this morning and he was beyond awful. Some nosy middle aged woman started to give me parenting advice too - I don't think my reply could have been considered politeHonestly though, I wasn't suggesting which sort of yoghurts she should be buying, why did she think it was okay to start telling me how to look after my son? Grrr!
Hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. I have a submission due in at the beginning of January that I really need to do before I have her but I just can't find the time or motivation.
Kerry - Don't worry about jumping up the lists,, however scary it is. I think they're just a bit sparse so we look further up than normal. You've still got a good 2 months to go yet!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Thanks for the list amyloofoo
but how the hell did I end up at the top??!!?!
Have spent all day bouncing on my ball & knitting, not much happening apart from the odd period type cramp & me slowly getting through my mound of wool. Might have to brave the drizzle in a bit and walk the dogs - they keep trying to get my attentionGot married 12/10/12 in Gretna Green:j

Hugs Lily it must be such a worry xx I really hate it when people feel they can give you unwanted parenting advice! I do think people often forget we are human still and at that age your son is still very young! X
Vic date is 26th. I am going to pack my bag too this weekend I keep throwing things at it but I haven't looked at my list/ put anything in there! I'm taking my small case as DH thinks it'll be easier for him to transport! I'm thinking 2 nights worth with spares left in car. Apparently hospital don't provide milk or bottles so need to sort that just in case I need them. XTrying to save for a deposit

Exciting Scar! 26th really isn't that far away at all
Are you sure your hospital don't provide formula in the ready to drink bottles with pre-packed teats? I thought that was pretty standard across the board - there are a million and 1 reasons someone might not be able to breastfeed and baby would still need something. That's pretty poor if not!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
I'm sorry I don't mean to queue jump! X
Lily when I had my son they provided bottles/ milk but apparently it's all changed since. I've got some mam self sterilising bottles so as long as they have a microwave I should be ok! Does seem a bit harsh if BFing didn't work out there's no alternative! XTrying to save for a deposit

Haha only joking chick...my baby will probably be late, just like his mummy!
My hospital doesn't provide milk either. I've been told to take in some ready prepared stuff in case I can't bf. looked in boots- so many to pick from.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Congratulations to the new mums :j
I am slowly on the mend and beginning to feel bit better, hopefully in a week or so I should be back to normal (ish)
Hubby has taken a weeks holiday next week and has said that he will get the nursery painted and the furniture inIn return I have promised tea and nibbles to keep his energy up. I am so looking forwards to washing all the clothes we have been given and setting things out on the new shelves. The little things make me smile
Over the next few weeks I am going to scour the charity shops and start building up my babies new library. There are loads of children's books that I love and I am determined to hunt them all down!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
