Birdie I think it was IHateDida who recommended this bath http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0037ZTT2A I'm tempted to get one as DH works away so I can't bath our son when he isn't here (thankfully he can stand in the shower!) I like how this holds the baby. I haven't ordered one yet but probably will once baby is here. Tbh babies don't get very dirty, top and tail with a flannel with suffice in the early weeks! X

We have this one too, makes bathing baby so much easier. Although after c-section with DS1 and currently after this birth (forceps) my mum and DH do the baths for the first few weeks. We only bath DS1 (age 2 1/2) and baby twice a week. Mum also bathed DS1 for me today as DH back at work now and doesn't get in til after 7pm.

Sorry not read back over everything but finally got the laptop out so have been able to upload onto photobucket.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been absent for a little while. My baby girl was born on Sunday :)
Exhausting few days but worth it, she's lovely.

Congrats to any other new arrivals I may have missed! Will try to find the time to catch up on the latest posts soon!

    Congratulations poppy!!

What a cutie pie fluffysox! He looks more grown up than newborn and 10 days if you know what I mean? I think of little-wrinkled-old-man when I think of a newborn, for some reason!

    Congratulations Poppy!

That's you, AngelMommy and me with Sunday babies - must've all been waiting for each other!

fluffy I love Jason's suit in the sleeping pic :) very cute!

Hugs to Lily, sorry to hear things aren't great. I hope the next news you get is more positive.

In bath news - I have one of the Easi Peasi changing things, it is pretty massive but we've found it so handy having it that we don't have to bend down etc. (I didn't have a C section, we're just lazy). It does take up a lot of room - and luckily we had space for it, but we've stored A LOT underneath the bath section and always use it as the changing station (when not bathing).
I completely see us moving to either a Bath Dam or a seat in the bath when he gets a bit bigger though. I also don't think I would've ended up with it if I hadn't spotted it locally for a bargain price.

Hope everyone is well and not finding the last few weeks/days too bad - it is soooo worth it in the end :)

Thanks Fluffy for the recommendation :) your little man is gorgeous! Xx

    Congratulations Poppy! X

I haven't used one of those raised bath/ changing units but if you have space/ it helps go for it! We didn't have a changing unit originally and used to change baby on bed/ floor, well once we bought our chest of drawers with changing unit ontop I wished we would have had it from the beginning! It was the perfect height saved bending over. We used it right until my son was potty trained at 2.5yrs. I'm so tempted by the bath I posted above but don't want to buy anything else as yet until baby is here. Probably just because the house is covered in drying baby washing so feels a bit everywhere!

  • Just popping by to say that we welcomed Francesca George to the world at 5:05am yesterday (7.11.13) weighing 8lbs and 8oz. She has so much hair that everyone comments on it and it could even be seen at only 3cm dilated, teehee!

Congratulations to all that have had their bubs recently! Will come back soon with pics hopefully. :)
Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

Congratulations on your little girls Poppy and Onetreehillgrrl! :j

Fluffy, little Jason is just lovely! :D Enjoy taking him out this weekend!

This week at work has flown, time always does seem to speed up in the run up to Christmas, supose I should start to think about presents soon! :o Work have got a contractor in to cover my maternity leave and I don't like him at all... but then I think, meh, I don't have to work with him so why worry?! :p If he's not very nice (and boy does he smell bad!!!!) they'll be delighted when I go back! ;)

Congrats onetreehillgirl!! Gorgeous combination of names :)

I think I've just lost my plug?! It's a bit bigger than I expected it to be lol. Was expecting something the size of a five pence but this is more like an old style 50p, (sorry this next bit could be tmi) could actually feel it in there.

38 week midwife appointment yesterday - said everything is great & that she is 3/5 engaged.

    Congratulations Poppy and Onetreehillgrrl :)

Birdie you've just made me laugh with the smelly contractor comment, I'd imagine he smells even worse with the pregnancy super power of enhanced sense of smell! We're doing hampers for Christmas this year and I'm trying to grow some little plants (herbs and peppers/chillis) to give to people. Who knew you could grow under a SAD light.

AFM - nct class last night was really good, met some really nice people. I've heard it can be a little hit and miss depending on who goes. I did feel quite uncomfortable around people I didn't know and was ok until I had to make conversation that wasn't directed by games/cue cards. Oh well, OH reminded me in the car that I have quite a few interesting things I do that I can talk to people about, so I'll use those next time :)

Hope your all well and little bumps are behaving themselves x
