Blimey I'm in the teens! Congratulations to the new babies
Took OH for a coffee yesterday in C0sta, the mug they gave him was about 10cm diameter, the look on his face when I said "that's how much I have to dilate to before the baby will come out" was pricelessDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: love it! I spent the first few months of my pregnancy pointing out fruit that would be the same size as the baby but I like your approach betterTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi All,
Sorry I have been a bit MIA lately. I will log back on later to read over what I have missed
I'm after some opinions please. I have my whooping cough and flu jab booked for tomorrow but I am still unsure if I should have them. Flu I am mostly ok with, but everywhere I turn I read/hear nasty reviews about whooping cough jabs in pregnancy.
Did you go for it? Anyone who refused to have it? If so would you mind sharing why? I want to protect little bean as much as possible, but I just worry something will go horribly wrong and I will be to blame.
Pregnancy is just 9 months of pure worry isn't it!Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
I personally am going to have the injections as I caught whooping cough when only a week or so old and nearly didn't make it so I am keen for my baby to be as protected as possible.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

The whooping cough jab is a very personal choice, but I have decided to have it. I remember it being in the news when those newborns were dying (they don't have their own whooping cough jab until 6 ish weeks I think, so this way they can get the immunity from the mum) . I just knew I would never ever get over it or forgive myself if LO contracted WC at a few weeks old, so for me it was a no-brainer. I just wish you could get a vaccine solely for WC but I couldn't even find it to have done privately.
My midwife let me have the flu jab at 28 weeks and I'm having the WC next week, as didn't want to have both arms potentially out of action with a 2yo to look after too! WC is most effective if given 28-32weeks into the pregnancy whereas the flu jab they suggested having asap.
Congratulations on the recent arrivals, my friend also had her baby girl in the wee small hours so lots of happiness here atm :T0 -

lillymay1 - thankyou, I thought it would be normal but you just never know when its all new to you! Like Lippy1923 said - 9 months of worry pregnancy is!
Kerri_dfw - I have just nearly split my tea all over the laptop from your c0sta statement to your OH!!!! I am going to have to try that one with my DH as I think he just thinks the stork brings the baby by magic!! :rotfl:everytime I talk about the birth he just shuts off and doesn't listen as its 'too far in advance'.....grrr men!
roll on next Friday, I have a 4 day week this week as took Friday and Monday off as we are going away for the night to Manchester, just me and hubby, really can not wait, need some us time at the moment to just be a couple, everything seems to be about the baby at the moment. Hoping to discover some nice non-alcoholic cocktails....any recommendations?Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -

We are delighted to welcome little Joshua Luke into the world this morning 08:20am on 3.11.13 weighing 7lb 7oz. Hasn't cried yet, seems very placid and wide awake. Both doing well although labour wasn't as straight forward and quick as my girls as Joshua was back to back (ouch!!). Labour started at 23:50 so exactly 8.5 hours.
Sorry BabaMoose, hope you're having your little bundle right now.DD1 June 1997
