    Cloudy Congratulations :j

Babamoose Maybe your body is telling you to rest as it is going to be busy soon :D I understand how frustrating it can be waiting in on people or just being too tired to go out. I am looking forward to a nice long walk when I am feeling better.

At our hospital you are only allowed a soft foldable bag with no wheels. So I have packed an overnight bag with enough to keep me going while in hospital and I will have another bag ready at home for hubby to bring in when I am ready to come home.

  • Congrats Trina! Love the name Hunter!

I've had to stay in both times.
    DS1 was c-sec, then Jaundice so 4/5days
DS2 because he was 'grunting' and they thought he might have an infection. He was out at 11am, but they weren't happy by evening, and said even if he wasn't poorly, it was too cold to take a baby outside!

So do be prepared for a stay

Congratulations Cloudy on your little boy! Hope you are doing ok x

Morning all, what a lazy week I've had! I think I've just felt more tired since finishing work! I've been washing baby clothes this week. Really must get my bag packed, all I can find is a small suitcase I don't really want to buy another bag so not sure whether to take that? It's got wheels so would be easier to transport! Think I'm guarenteed at least a 72 hour stay with a section?

Not necessarily - Jessica was born at 21.02 Tuesday and we were discharged at 14.30 on Thursday

Congratulations Trina! Lovely name. Glad all went ok.

BabaMoose - the trips to the loo can be a sign of baby getting lower and pushing whatever is in the bowel, out. So another 5 days max for you too. I've also felt really queasy the past couple days and have no energy whatsoever - couldn't even be bothered to do the dishwasher last night - not like me. I would chase up the midwife; you shouldn't have to sit around waiting all day on the off-chance they may pop round. A sweep can really get things going.

Not necessarily, I had a section on the sunday evening and we were out of hospital Tuesday evening.

Hi all, James George Arthur was born at 8.52am today (2 November) weighing 7lb 13oz!

Rather eventful birth story with a few gory details so will save that for another time!!
