thanks for cheering up my lunch break with baby and bump photos!
Sorry to get a bit political - I wondered if anyone might be interested in this petition re Bounty. Even if its not something you want to sign you might be interested to understand how it works with Bounty on the wards. https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/exchequer-secretary-to-the-treasury-david-gauke-mp-terminate-hmrc-s-contract-with-bounty-and-find-alternative-routes-for-child-benefit-form-distribution

Still stalking this thread! Wow so many bolides! Disappointed I couldn't have a natural birth (although out of all my babies probably would have been fine with DD as she was diddy!) but so glad I didn't have to go overdue again!!

Just posting for any ladies wondering about nappies, have been really impressed with Aldi newborn. They're half the price and just as good, if not better than pampers IMO, and I really like the wipes too. Better still I got a couple of half price vouchers for newborn nappies and wipes in my bounty pack (the 27 week one).

Interesting read, didn't know that's how it worked. Though my experience of them was positive as a lady came round the day she was born but could see I needed time to recover so very nicely said she wouldn't bother me and would pop back the next day.

I was certainly not asked to give over any personal details. Only gave over my daughters name when it came to photos and I was just told the forms for child benefit were in my pack and that was it.

Appreciate not everyone has good experiences of them though.

Hmm I'm at a bit of a loss what to do today... wish the weather was nicer so I could go out for a long walk.

Any ideas for spending the day indoors? I have some skirting boards to prime and gloss, but it isn't something I'm keen to put on my to do list...

    Thank you :)

She now weighs 8lb 3oz at 3 weeks and 5 days old. So I'm doing my job right, hahaha.
I had a tiny baby! Jess was 5lb 12oz and dropped birth weight to 5lb 6oz. She was teeensey!! She is now 15 1/2 months and still in 9-12 month clothes. At 12 months she was in some 0-3month vests still which was mad! So jsut couldnt see her still in them at that age so stuck them up in the loft. She has a few 6-9 month trousers i've just put up too. It's madness but I guess we will get our moneys worth with the clothes :rotfl:

If we were all giants then how would we believe in faeries? :) I quite like being little, even if it makes clothes shopping a pain in the backside.

  • Lol, my boys are the opposite, 21m is in 2-3 years clothes!
Ds1 was the same, but when he got to 3yrs, he stopped growing! Fussy eating started and he's always been behind since. He's 8 next month, and just gone into 6-7years!

I know it's terrible, but I hope my girl isn't massive like the boys were, not just because of the birth, but everyone made comments about my boys, but it didn't matter coz they're boys, I could laugh it off & say they'll be rugby players/ wrestlers. I think I'll get upset if people say things about my girl!

We're not big parents, I'm 5ft6, and 10stone (not pregnant, and 1stone is boobs!) OH is 6ft, and a smidge over 10stone (lean muscle, stick legs lol!) so not big build to make these big kids! Lol x

I'm a little paranoid that the longer I stay bold (go overdue) the bigger my baby is getting inside me...
    Is this silly?

I know in my head I'll make it out to be outrageous like giving birth to a toddler or something, but he must be a week bigger now than he was due to be... eep.

Ah well, they rang and said they'd come sweep at some point tomorrow, so only a day over what they were going to do. Can't be too mad at them anymore... although it was nice having an almost legitimate reason to get angry at someone :D

Getting doors fitted on nursery tomorrow and then OH is putting the pictures/boxes on the wall - then it will be done (apart from skirting boards). Maybe that'll make him appear. Although if he is waiting until I do the skirting boards I might be going in for an induction in a weeks time.........

No, it's not silly. I said the same thing to my midwife on Tuesday although she did laugh. It's alright for her; she hasn't got to push him out! X
