Congratulations Toothfairyand Deva!!
Good luck TTC40 hope you get a bed asap!
Nene - how are you feeling? I'm getting SO impatient now!!Just had the sweeeeep. Odd feeling, but not painful.
Said baby's head was down, cervix was forward, not paper thin yet but she was able to 'get in and give it a good go'.... so fingers crossed I won't have to wait until November and he will make it into October afterall...!
I had one too - similar result to you, everything is nice and low, although my cervix is still quite long despite being very low. She was still able to give it a good prodding and felt the baby's head apparently
I'll have another one next week if nothing's happened - hoping I can avoid it though, it was sooo unpleasant!!!0 -
Just been told by a friend she's been recommended to "rotate to dilate" to help open the cervix. Apparently you rotate your hips in a clockwise manner and it helps peel the cervix over the babies head.
Thought I'd share in case it helps one of the boldiesDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ooo thanks :j:j:j I'll speak to DH and see what he thinks. He has made all the bottles so far as I'm still suffering.
Funny I had a caeserian last time and did everything. This time forceps delivery has left me sore but huge piles from an hours pushing are flipping agony lol. Sorry for tmi but at least I can say the episiotomy etc has barely even bothered me and all you read is about stinging etc- really not something to worry yourselves about.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Sounds just like us with DS1 (first time I've had to number them lol) 9lb 10 back to back and emergency section after stopped progressing at 8/9cm. Take it easy, I found after about a month, Aquafit 2/3 mornings a week with a bunch of lovely old ladies got me back to normal strength. Then walking pushing the pram got me trim again.Freya was born yesterday at 17:36, all fine and home now.
Escalated quickly from contracting every 20 mins around midday- maybe the RLT? She's sleeping well, I haven't yet...
Glad to be home for so many reasons including ridiculous tropical temperature and room above a&e. Surreal
Strangely enough there was a woman in dinner queue for her daughter when I was still in hospital. Her daughter hadn't known she was pregnant. been to work the night before. Waters broke, contractions started and baby was born an hour later. :rotfl: Some of you ladies make it all look easy :rotfl:Congratulations deva!!
Big hugs to everybody else who needs them - join me in the realisation that legitimate mulled wine consumption is just a month or so away...Worked better than codeine and doesn't cause constipation :rotfl:

Congratulations tooth fairy & deva!
Ttc, hope they're keeping an eye on you between telling you there's no beds
No real news from me, bought the drawers for the nursery last night so hopefully we'll get those put up today and everything stored this weekend. Sick of all the (very generously donated) baby stuff being dotted around the place
Found DH had been on pinterest, while I napped earlier, looking at nursery inspiration. He's so cute :happyhear

Good news is I've just been admitted. Bad news is I only became priority because I tested positive for group b strep.
They are going to nuke me with high dose penicillin and start induction. They have said its likely to be a tomorrow baby - but who knows?
🍼 come on baby, let's have you out!0 -
