I think I get told the date next week, the consultant said it'll probably be at 39 weeks. Feel slightly sad we might not be 'twins' anymore! But I suppose we are still DD twins, and there's a chance you could have baby boy at 39 weeks lol! I'm pleased a decision has been made at least I can plan for a section now! X
TTC40 that's awful you can't get a bedx

TTC40 - blimey - you are being messed around a bit aren't you
bless - I keep coming back to hear your birth announcement! Do you have another hospital you could go to nearish? I was due to have a homebirth but when the contractions came, they had no midwives to send out to me. My back-up hospital was in the middle of a refurb and in complete chaos (as I had been in during the day) - so I asked to go to another hospital - and it was there that the LO was born! It was lovely and quiet and a complete contrast to the original hospital.
Maybe its worth asking for a different hospital (if you live nearish to one that is)? Hope it all goes well x0 -
There are probably 4 other hospitals within 30 mins.
I will get further up the list & as I'm not considered an emergency I have to wait. We will see what tomorrow brings.0 -
Aww, sorry to hear that TTC - I hope things progress for you and you have a quick and stress-free birth experience without any more hospital drama :grouphug:
ETA: Pregnancy hormones are exhibiting themselves today by me being FURIOUS at DH for a variety of menial reasons... mostly to do with him not helping around the house after he promised to - which is annoying, but the not the enormous trauma I'm turning it into :rotfl:
E(again)TA: Have spent today emptying out (mostly!) the spare room as we're going nursery / general baby things shopping tomorrow with the in-laws  Am excited by the idea of getting some baby things, but distinctly less excited by the prospect of MIL seeing the state of the house atm - we just appear to be moving the clutter around rather than actually getting rid; despite the fact I've done 2 runs to the tip this week :rotfl:0 -
Baby Olly arrived this morning at 3:30, after a very long back to back labour which ended with a c-section after failing to progress past 7cm. He was 9lb 10oz  I thought a section would be my worst nightmare but really couldn't care less now as he is here and perfect!
TTC, how are you doing? You must be so frustrated!!0 -

Awww congratulations!! Glad all is well.
Sorry it wasn't a natural birth but at least all is good.
That's a good weight.... ahem not sure pushing him out would of been fun...;)
Rest up and take it easy now xI need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Congrats. Love the name - it was one of our 'maybes'.
Still here, nothing happening except occasional period like pain in the pubic area. Hoping labour starts soon!0 -

Congratulations Toothfairy, I hope you're both doing well!
Anyone else worried about this storm that's supposed to be coming?! Slightly concerned as the MLU is pretty rural and if there's loads of trees down etc no way would we be able to get there. Plus I am living opposite a building site at the moment- lots of loose bricks and tiles stacked up
Hope everyone else has a good weekend!0
