It's ok Vic I work with some d**** so didn't expect anything. Glad to be almost finished it's not been the nicest place to work recently xx
Today I've had confirmation that I will be having a section. I feel slightly relieved and somewhat terrified. Apparently a natural birth wouldn't be safe. At least I will know exact date baby is coming.
Just bouncing on my ball while BHing as usual.Trying to save for a deposit

BadlyWrittenPoem wrote: »It's a long time since I read about it so I can't remember all the detail but from what I've read there was a large study done comparing outcomes for planned vaginal vs planned CS breech births. From memory there were some flaws to the study such as those attending the vaginal breech births didn't necessarily have the required expertise/training and that they didn't distinguish between various types of breech which is important as the variation can make a big difference as to the appropriateness of a vaginal birth. The problem now as a result though is that due to the fact that most breech births are by caesarian, MWs/Drs are less experienced at breech births.
Yup this is bang in.
I had Jess delivered by Planned C/S at 39+0 due to breech position. Jess was in the footling breech (Feet first) which is the most dangerous. If they are Frank (bottom down) then the bottom can come first and there is less chance of the cord dropping out and getting compressed. I was given a leaflet whihc let you know the details about vaginal/CS and having a ECV. I tried the ECV - twice - and it failed. Unbenown to me JEss was in the breech due to a heart shaped womb defect. So she never could turn round.
If I have another baby I have a 40% chance of another breech baby and this most likely would be CS also. If one wants a vaginal it is best to also investigate independant midwives or anotehr hospital. I didntk now a hosptal 10 miles from me does breech deliveries and there are a select team of midwives that do this. Guys if you have any CS/Breech questions PLEASE Please please do let me know! I dont want ladies worrying about these things when those of us who have gone through it can help.
Lots of love! xx (If I miss any just shout me on a pm and i'll dip in and answer :-) )0 -
Apparently it would be easier to get a bed in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve! Back home from the hospital as there is a long list of women to be induced & I'm not near the top. Got to phone again in the morning.
Baby was monitored for 20 mins & all was ok - other than an initial worry as they couldn't find heart beat & then thought baby was breech.
Frustrated but at least the baby & I are ok.
Whilst we were in triage a woman came in after us but in labour. They took her into a room before me - queue jumper. Within 2 minutes there was a shout down the corridor for a midwife because 'she wants to push'. Some pretty loud noise followed & 5 minutes later there was a crying baby! All was well thankfully.0 -
