Thanks so much everyone for bath suggestions
I'm going to go through options with DH. I'm so tempted by that bath IhateDida it looks so practical! X
!
The bath is fab but I am a nervous 1st time mum who always feared that I would drown a tiny baby! LOL!
Nighties are easiest - although I took both in. I ended up with a spinal block and so my legs didn't work properly for a day (!) - I couldn't easily lift my legs to get in pj bottoms so the nightie was much easier to get into on my own!
Oh....just wanted to add - the most wasted product I bought before I gave birth was cotton wool! I was told I would go through masses of it - so I bought a whole cotton field's worth! I used it for the first week with water to wash baby and haven't touched any since (apart from to remove nail varnish from my toenails!). Wipes are so much easier and practical. If anyone wants any cotton wool......I have a cupboard full! (just don't buy too much like I did as you might find you don't really like it that much - I found it stuck to baby and I had to pull all the fibres off her bum constantly!!!).0 -
Back home. All seems ok with the baby after monitoring.
Got to phone at 2.00pm tomorrow to see about being admitted if nothing happens sooner.
My waters broke as I was going into Morrisons! Just felt like I had wet myself. Was going in for some of the offers this week :money: so nipped in to get the wine & Baileys. Wouldn't mind but the Baileys was a favour for someone & I'm not in a rush for 6 bottles of wine!
Came home, showered and changed then rang the hospital who said to go in to be checked. Waters continued to go.
When they looked at the baby they asked about my contractions but TBH they just feel like tightening at the mo. Hope it's the start.
Will keep you updated!
Angel - I remember that too as we were EDD buddies at one time0 -

Noooooo! Firstly I can't as I haven't washed everything never mind packed my bag! I had Braxton hicks like this last time but they have definitely stepped up pain wise! I normally go to sleep and it goes away, getting to sleep is normally the issue though! X

Hope things happen quickly now TTC!
TL, that picture is brilliant, look at the baby's face! Is it weird that I keep looking at it and giggling?! :rotfl:
As for baths, we've been given a full size and top and tail bath but they look pretty bog standard. OH works evenings so I'm going to be bathing the baby on my own so really want something I feel comfortable with on my own... terrified of not having enough hands!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oooh....good luck TTC! :j
With regards to a baby bath - we still use this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tippitoes-BM3-Mini-Bath-White/dp/B0037ZTT2A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382643761&sr=8-1&keywords=baby+bath and its absolutely superb for nervous mums (like me!) as the built in seat stops baby from slipping downwards - so I have always had a hand free (now she is bigger at 4 months - I have 2 hands free as she is way too big to slip down - so I can easily wash her and she can play with a bath book/splash around safely!). I bought it after reading the reviews on Amazon and I am so pleased I did!
We have that one too. I never could master the holding baby over the tub like you are supposed to. This makes it so much easier. And its compact too2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
