I imagine it is an inflated unrequired item that I'll use just once and then oversell it to the next unsuspecting mother-to-be ... but it is polka dot and pretty and has handles.

    What is not to love?!

It is pretty. :) It matches the cot bumpers that we've just bought which are so bright and fun! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Good luck TTC, very excited for your announcement to come :)

Thanks for the 'me too's re: whinge guilt, you're right birdie, saying that pregnancy is hard does not diminish my joy at being pregnant and she is most definitely worth it all. Funny you mention cars too, DH is obsessed but luckily our car is on finance so can't sell til that's paid off. Although he wants a hybrid and the Toyota dealership have 'free car wash with test drive' deal and they've said they'll see what they can do. Oh heck.

Just been to see midwife, all is well although we can add Doppler to the list of things miss Lowe will wriggle away from, heard the heart beat for like two seconds before she was off. I had a vision of years of saying 'come back, stop that, slow down, just stand still for two seconds will you?' To my rather precocious child lol

Asked about antenatal classes and turns out that's what parentcraft is lol they need to explain these things to first timers, I thought it was classes on taking care of baby, not having baby but apparently it's both and a separate breastfeeding workshop, which DH thought he was off the hook for but she specifically said to bring him lol

Oh and midwife tip for sore hips: purchase a birthing ball and kneel on floor, cushions underneath knees, rest arms on ball and rock back and forth, which will take weight off hips

So after days(weeks!) of what I presume are Braxton hicks have had tonnes of tightenings over past few days, not settled to a pattern but each time I have a chocolate they last for about ten seconds.
    Any ideas?

Also crying repeatedly at everything but not feeling down, more how amazing life is NOT how I usually am. My fault for watching end of gogglebox about Hayley's cancer situation and a Who do you think you are to do with holocaust survivors.

    Wonder what tonight will bring...

    Chocoholic baby.

Sounds like a fun game... convince OH to supply more and more until birth. It's tough being pregnant, but sometimes we need to sacrifice ourselves and indulge in such things.

Bahhhhhhh just got a SnuggleBundl for £10.50. I'm a happy Moose.

Slightly self indulgent post there. Apologies.

    Woot!

That's a fab price, I got 2 from the baby show for £50. Seems fairly expensive as I only wanted one but DH said 2 would be better for washing etc and he paid too so even better! Really impressed with them so far, v good quality, well made and look cosy! It just seemed like something I felt I needed last time as I struggled with lifting my son. I'm sure it'll be great for nursery run when I'll need to get baby out of car seat and keep her snug while we walk into the building x

What is everyone doing about baby baths? I had a second hand one given last time I passed onto a friend. It seemed a bit big and pointless. I'm not sure whether to just buy a new washing up bowl?! Or failing that 'tummy tubs' look just like buckets, would a bucket work?! X

Hugs to those feeling fed up, it's perfectly normal to admit you are feeling rubbish xx I feel like I've moaned so much during this pregnancy. Pregnancy isn't always pleasant and Unfortunatly can be very painful/ uncomfortable for most :( xx

I am SO tired it is unreal :( Been taking things as easy as possible and still exhausted and stiff all over :( It seems to me that the next few months are going to drag by.

Ahhh tummy tubs gave me at least 20mins straight of hysteric laughing fits when I first found out I was pregnant... There is a priceless pic on Amazon.

I have a Cosatto changing unit (£20 2nd hand - bargain) that has a bath built in so will be using that - but before that I was just planning on getting a bucket/washing up bowl (the kind you slot in the sink) until it was bigger.

Have you seen the water dams you can get for the bath? I thought they looked quite good - might look in to getting one of them for when the baby bath gets a bit small. Means you can fill the bath to as far as you put the dam so you don't waste water by filling the entire thing and just having a bath seat floating in it x
