    That's huge lily!

My bestie's waters broke this morning. She is being induced tomorrow morning, 3 days before her due date. I really can't settle knowing that information!

  • Hmmm, just had a little bit of a clear out (sorry if TMI) might mean things might happen soon :D

How exciting that there are so many babies due or beginning to announce their arrival :D

We are still progressing with our nursery all be it slowly and I am looking forward to the painting bit being over and the fun bit of furniture and prettifying beginning!

I have a birthing ball and I was thinking about getting it inflated and starting to use it for a while each day. I know I am early (25weeks) and that it might not help much but I figure it could be a good habit to get into?

  • For anyone that was part of the 'evil deodorant' talk a few weeks ago now... Deodorant with aluminium is not advised before breast screening because the aluminium could show up on the X-Ray and skew results... nothing to do with aluminium being harmful.
Similarly must be to do with the scent and breastfeeding not being a good combo rather than any danger :)

The TV just told me this. Must be true :):)

Just nipping on to say that neither the whooping cough nor flu jabs are live vaccines so you're not being given a mild dose of any virus! There isn't anything for your immune system to fight so It really does make sense to get them done at the same time :)

    Happy due date to Nenero!

I won't go into my opinions on using a tape measure to estimate the size of someones baby but Zippy, don't worry about anything. For your m/w to start rabbiting on about GD is frankly ridiculous.

Anyway, one of my friends had her baby today - 10lb 11oz at 38+2....!!!

Appreciate the thought, and don't doubt the logic, but I can assure you that I have a reaction every year after having the flu jab. My body, with all it's weird and wonderful conditions, is not normal though ;)

Re the GD, I wasn't particularly concerned so much as narked at the casual way she said it! Especially to someone she knows lost 80lbs to get pregnant in the first place  It clearly got under my skin though, and is there in the back of my mind  Just want tomorrow's GTT result to be fine now...

    Good luck Nene... :)

Lol this is really silly but.....my baby due on Sunday which happens to be when BST ends and the clocks go back. Say little man is born 2:15 - I assume it then becomes 1:15am (as 2am is when we're officially supposed to lose the hour) BUT then any babies born at 1:20-2am (BST) who actually would be older than mine, would have a time that looks like they are younger than my baby.

Hope the other boldies have had their babies. I'm starting to get a little gutted each morning that I still haven't had mine, must be worse for the boldies. Xx

Ooh I never thought of that, having the same due date as you! Interesting.

I hope the baby comes on time or next week as it's half term and my husband is a teacher- perfect timing. Of course, because it would be perfect timing it won't happen :D

Stepping up the spicy foods and pineapple today. I should really go for a walk but it's absolutely chucking it down so I will walk up the stairs instead! I always said I would never bother with these things :rotfl:

Errr, I really don't think it matters for the sake of an hour! I think it'd be quite cool for that to happen actually! :p

Nene, I reckon baby will come at 12.20am tomorrow morning. :)

Hope the GTT goes well Zippy, I'm sure you'll be fine and can rub the results in the MW's face! :)

I hope karma doesn't punish you for your actions Baba! ;) Hooray for getting a bargain cute cat costume though!

Hope you're feeling better after last nights chocolate binge Kerri! :)

Think bump's having another growth spurt, feels really tight and streched ATM. Nice to have a there-all-the-time bump though, it's stopped shrinking overnight! :)

Booked in for my 'flu jab on Saturday 2nd, I've never had one before as I've never been at risk and too tight/lazy to sort out paying for one. :o Does it knock you for six at all or is it OK? I'm only asking as I'm supposed to be going out with my friends that evening on a rare girl's night and don't want to be feeling even more grotty than I do normally! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
