Thanks for the reassurance about the 'flu jab.
Luckily I have no plans for the Sunday so can lie around feeling sleepy if I need to.
It does seem strange that there's no veggie friendly alternative for the Vit-K injections considering how many people don't eat meat for cultural reasons. I'm a meat eater anyway so it doesn't bother me but even if I was veggie I'd probably opt for baby to have the injection as it's not fair for me to do anything to compromise my child's health because of my beliefs. But I don't know, not having any massive beliefs about anything I have no idea how people would feel about this.
I've missed your health problems Amyloo, what is so wrong that you terrified a whole group of people?!Hope you have fun shopping for nursery stuff, it's so lovely!
I'm sure your OH will get a cool c-section story even if it doesn't involve hand-squeezing.
Hope you're looking after yourself TL, I know what you mean about getting carried away then suffering for it! I never thought being PG would be hard work but it really is! I take back everything I said about other pregnant ladies who I thought were just being lazy!I walked home today from work at lunch, used to take me 12 minutes door-to-door, took me 20 today because I'm so much slower and it's just uncomfortable to walk at a decent pace now!
ot my fingers crossed for the boldies, hope there are lots of babies born this evening... there may even be a couple being born right now!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Re: vitamin K, I'm going to use veggie as the excuse when asked for not having Vit K. I spoke to the OH about it previously and weighed up risks and health scares etc. I'm sure my MW already thinks I'm a bit of a loon.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I'm lurking like a crazy lady for baby news! Who's going to be first?
:D;)
The NCT classes are going well, but I think DH feels a bit cheated now we're having a section and all of his studying is a bit redundant :rotfl: Bless him, I think he wanted to prove he could be an amazing birth partner. I've tried telling him all the ways he can still help, and how lovely he's being, but I think he wanted a moment of stoic "I've been up for 14 hours and she nearly squeezed my hand off" glory
Hi Amy, where abouts in Yorks are you? I'm in Halifax and starting NCT next week, how are they going? Also, where you having your c section?Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -

I didn't do it on purpose :rotfl: Part of the session involved trying out some exercises on a birthing ball... my hips started clicking horrendously, cue a lot of wincing from other ladies and the physio quickly redirecting me to a chairThere's nothing seriously wrong with me, I have hypermobile joints which have got worse during pregnancy so I make a lot of unpleasant clicky and poppy noises and occasionally my hips and knees like to dislocate themselves for extra fun
Can't wait for shopping - just need to motivate myself to tidy and fling so there's actually somewhere to put baby's things!
Kerri - if you're concerned about the vitamin K being non-veggie, I know a couple of ladies have opted for the Neokay capsules at my local hospital (not sure whether for cultural or other reasons). It's probably worth talking to your midwife / consultant ASAP though if you wanted this option as it probably wouldn't be in 'stock' on the delivery suite without prior warning for pharmacy. Neokay claims to be suitable for vegetarians and is licenced in the UK but isn't routinely offered (not sure why, although injections are a more efficient way to deliver the dose and are probably cheaper). There's some discussion about whether the Neokay capsules are actually vegetarian (the Vegan Society claims that the capsule contains gelatine), but the capsules themselves are not ingested by the baby - the contents are dropped into the mouth. Neokay drops aren't licenced in the UK for use as newborn Vitamin K prophylaxis, but definitely are Vegan and may be available if you have a sympathetic doctor.
I'm not sure if I've actually just made that even more confusing :rotfl:0 -

I'm in Leeds and will be delivering at Jimmy's. I think there are a few of us around West Yorkshire... must be something in the water :rotfl:
We've found the NCT classes to be really helpful - especially for DH who was really anxious before we started and didn't really like talking about 'baby things', especially when it came to labour! I hope you have a nice group and find the sessions as helpful as we have
ETA: Kerri, your bump is so cute! I'm only a couple of days ahead of you, but mine seems to have taken over my whole torso :rotfl: I think yours is just about perfect - very definitely pregnant, but I expect people don't look anxiously at you as though your waters are about to go at any second0 -
Hello boldie pals! Still no baby here, but I'm betting (aka hoping!) that I'll have it by the end of the weekend. Got a sweep on Friday and trying to stay positive!!
Getting really sick of RLT and bouncing on the ball now, but I feel like I should do everything I can to help things progress!
I've started ignoring the phone when it rings now! Only a few members of the family (mostly in laws) call the landline and when they leave a message it's always along the lines of "just calling to see how you are" and I just can't be bothered with small talk/pleasantries anymore! What a grump I am!0 -
Good luck to all the boldies! Lots of good news in the next few days, what a lovely time
Off work today as feeling horrid. I keep carrying on like I'm not six months pregnant but my body knows better and has made sure that all I'm fit for today is lying on the couch lol
My friend from work had her baby yesterday and I'm so so pleased for her as I know how long she's waited for her. Made me really broody though, lucky I'm pregnant otherwise I would have been really green with envy. As it is I'm just a little green tinged lol
Really paranoid about little lady coming early. There's family history- my mum and her two sisters all had their first babies 6 weeks early and I just worry I'll be the same or even earlier. If I can get to 37 weeks I'll be happy, hopefully I'll be jinxing myself worrying about it and she'll keep us waiting around past her due datejust want her here healthy, that's all that matters x x
Ooh glad I'm not the only one who feels a bit crappy. Been signed off from work, I only have a desk job but my kidneys have decided they're refusing to work properly and migraines are driving me nuts.
And also glad that I'm not the only one scared half to death that little one will be here early, my mom was early with both me and my brother. In fact I'm not sure any of our family have gone full term  could be fun.
Any news on any of our lovely ladies?
