    Wow baba they're amazing!

Amy loo, why the decision to go for c section? To do with your joints? I saw the consultant today and they want me to see a rheumatologist to get their opinion on my joints... She seemed to be assuming I'd be having the epidural to control my pain and help the fatigue, but it certainly wouldn't be on my "ideal world" list!

I did manage to have my flu jab yesterday, and it was no hassle, so I don't know what the receptionist was on about :p Whooping cough at the beginning of Nov.

    Congratulations fluffy sox!

We picked up the wardrobe for the nursery after the appointments (and a pub lunch ;)) and then came back and (after flipping the base the right way up ;)) cleaned the cot up and cleared the old wardrobe etc out... Now food pit stop and hopefully get the new wardrobe together and in situ before bedtime... :)

    Congratulations Fluffy! X

    Good luck bold ladies! X

Lovely bumps Kerri and Vic - both so neat :) maybe due to it being my second I feel like I've ballooned recently! X

Yay I'm finally feeling better! Still coughing but much better than it was. Unfortunatly my son is still very poorly bless him. Been up most nights with him it feels like prep for once baby is here! Looks like I might be finishing work a few days earlier than next Friday as my manager miscalculated my holiday left over so I actually have a few more days left. Hopefully I can work Friday and Monday then I'm done :)

Congratulations Fluffysox hope you make a speedy recovery.

Lol bangton, you might be here another 12 weeks yet!

:rotfl:I know and then the next lot will be on here and I'll feel attached to them too as I'll have lurked that long!

God I loved been pregnant - how I miss it and I didn't take one bump picture which is a bit idiotic! My bump is now laid on my OH quietly staring at him!! It's so weird how a full baby came out of me!

I might have to get knocked up again! :o

For anyone that was part of the 'evil deodorant' talk a few weeks ago now... Deodorant with aluminium is not advised before breast screening because the aluminium could show up on the X-Ray and skew results... nothing to do with aluminium being harmful.
Similarly must be to do with the scent and breastfeeding not being a good combo rather than any danger :)

The TV just told me this. Must be true :):)
I always put loads of deodorant on when I go to the breast clinic because I'm worried about being excessively sweaty. Doesn't help that the hospital is always boiling too. But I've only ever had ultrasounds rather than mammograms as apparently when you are younger the breast tissue is too dense for mammograms to be much use.

Lol this is really silly but.....my baby due on Sunday which happens to be when BST ends and the clocks go back. Say little man is born 2:15 - I assume it then becomes 1:15am (as 2am is when we're officially supposed to lose the hour) BUT then any babies born at 1:20-2am (BST) who actually would be older than mine, would have a time that looks like they are younger than my baby.
I guess that would only be an issue if you had twins just before/after the time change as it's only with multiple births that they put the time on the birth certificate and I would imagine any more than twins would be a planned CS and therefore not in the middle of the night.

  • Yeah, unfortunately Kerri the injection contains cow bile and the tablets contain gelatine. The only alternative is Neokay drops which are given orally, however these are not licensed as an NKDB prophylaxis and only contain the same amount of vitamin K as formula milk. At the end of the day you have to weigh up the risks of NKDB (the clotting disorder Vit K is given to prevent) with your beliefs. I'm not veggie so it's not an issue for me but I do find it very strange there is no veggie alternative - must affect certain cultural groups too
That's interesting. It might have changed since I had DD1 but when I had her, we were given the drops as standard - they gave some at birth and then you were given some to give to them at set numbers of days after birth.
