Yey for babies arriving! :j :j :j Congratulations to lemon and fluffy :j

BabaMoose your nursery is going to be amazing! Those so-called doodles are incredible :j

BZ - it's partly because of my dodgy joints, but also because I have a badly fractured coccyx that they're concerned may pose issues during a vaginal delivery. It doesn't help that I have anxiety problems too, so the thought of having a 'planned' section is much more palatable than the 'try it and see if you need an emergency section' approach for me.

I can remember you saying about this as I'm actually waiting for a decision on a section due to similar issues. My consultant can't seem to decide. Part of me wants a section part of me doesn't :/ hope you are keeping ok xx

    Hello ladies and bumps,
    Congratulations fluffysox!
Just wanted to let you know baby girl (!!!!!) Eve Josephine was born last night weighing 7lb 11 oz and is absolutely perfect, the labour was tough and ended vwith emergency forceps as she was really struggling and turned out to have the cord around her neck but I'd do every second again for her.
In a weird coincidence she was born exactly a year to the day that we went for a scan only a floor below and found we were having our 3rd miscarriage so I was pretty emotional about that. I like that we came full circle in that year.
Thinking if you all and will be keeping an eye out for lots of announcements in the next few days!
    Lemonmelon x

:j:D:j Congratulations! :D very happy to see this news :D

Amy loo, I remember the coccyx issue now. I can understand the anxiety too, although I think I would work myself up royally about planned surgery too, so I don't think I could win either way :p

Wardrobe finished and in place :D knackered now and DH is too, but I feel better that it's done :) I/we can get some of MiniZee's things put away/organised now - sick of seeing random bags of clothes all over the floor/cot etc...! And mum's already asked how/when we want the money transferring :martin: She's lucky only the half (one door version) wardrobe would fit in the room though - half the cost ;)

    29+1

I'm doing pretty well considering, and can't wait to meet little Miss Foo :) Has your consultant given you a definite date by when you'll all reach a decision? I know what you mean about being in two minds, but I feel much calmer now there's a plan in place (at one stage I was crying because I wanted a home birth in water so we've really gone round the houses with it :rotfl:). My consultant won't set a date for the section until my 36 week appointment and has said I'm free to change my mind right up until that stage, and physio have also offered to support me with whichever choice is made... have you had some input from them too?

Awake with (what i would call) pretty strong pains every 6ish minutes, having to breathe through them. I hope it is actually something starting this time and not another false start!

Brunette girl - maybe it'll happen today, fingers crossed, in France they don't say your due until 41w anyway and the majority of babies then come on their due date.

Still here, still no signs :(
the m/w says I can see them next Wednesday to discuss options....

the idea of been fiddled about with really don't appeal at all - infact it terrifies me more than I think labour does.

wish there was a way to forget about how labour felt last time...

I have well meaning wishers telling me to induced sooner rather than later or my baby will die?????? Oh my, how is that helpful?
Aside from the fact that delivering a dead baby last year at 20 weeks due to a virus, means I am a strong believer in things happen for a reason.

I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:

OMG!!! Tell them to s0d off! Your uterus doesn't suddenly stop working because you hit the magical 40w. For all they know the scan is 2-3weeks out and you might only be 39w. How can telling you that in any way make you feel better or calm? *massive hugs*

I bet you little one will arrive over the weekend, they'll be absolutely perfect and born just when they wanted to be born. If it were me, and I shall be doing this, I'd turn off the phone and leave them all guessing :)

Congratulations lemonmelon did you not know it was a girl before or did she magically change gender?
