No further developments here! Had quite a lot of pain/tightening last night but decided to try and get some sleep and it stopped after a while
off out to walk the dog soon to try and get something to happen. If not then I have a sweep tomorrow so fingers crossed that'll do the trick.

Morning! Not posted fot a while but been reading religiously, best wishes for all of you on the verge, so exciting.
I wanted to add about whopping cough and flu jabs- I'm a huge needle-phobe but I am conquering the fear during pregnancy! That said neither of those two jabs hurt to have. The WC left me with a bulging bicep for a week (I actually thought it was toned to begin with but realised the other arm was flat! !!!) It was stiff/achy to lie on but not horrific. I'd never had the flu jab before so had to wait 15 minutes after to check no reaction, was a bit tired following day but think that's the stage I'm at rather than direct link to the vaccine.
Obviously its personal choice and after research some people will decide against, I just didn't want fear of the needle/after to put people off ( I survived and I'm a wuss!)0 -
Re. Vaccines - I've had both, they weren't too bad but arm was achy for a few days after each.
These babies are all very lazy! Must be something in the water. I'm due in 2 days and I thought things were starting for me yesterday, cramping all day between 5-15 mins apart, they were painful but manageable through breathing. I woke up early hours this morning and the pain was worse for a while but then all of a sudden it just stopped! So frustrating. Feeling crampy again now but nothing which I can time, just a constant ache. I've tried keeping active to get things moving but with no success, if anything moving around makes the pains tail off.
I've had enough and would like baby to come out now. Good luck to all the boldies, your time is near!0 -
Walkingonadream - try doing nothing, just sit down and relax and see if that gets things going as it'll increase the blood supply to your uterus and *hopefully* make it work harder when you're getting the tightenings. Or that's how the theory goes anyway.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yeah, unfortunately Kerri the injection contains cow bile and the tablets contain gelatine. The only alternative is Neokay drops which are given orally, however these are not licensed as an NKDB prophylaxis and only contain the same amount of vitamin K as formula milk. At the end of the day you have to weigh up the risks of NKDB (the clotting disorder Vit K is given to prevent) with your beliefs. I'm not veggie so it's not an issue for me but I do find it very strange there is no veggie alternative - must affect certain cultural groups too
Will catch up properly on the thread later - currently having a naptime battle with DD ... joy of joys!0 -
afternoon ladies, hope we are all well.

I'm lurking like a crazy lady for baby news! Who's going to be first?
:D;)
Just back from a group physio appointment - I did warn them that I probably wouldn't be suitable for a group session, but they wouldn't listen... An hour later I think I've accidentally terrified both the physio and the other ladiesand am now booked in for individual sessions.
Sorry I've been doing a lot of lurking but very little posting - there just doesn't seem to be too much to say... bump is getting ENORMOUS but apart from the expected health problems everything's going well. I feel a bit behind because I still haven't bought very much and the nursery is very much still a walk-in cupboard of clutterHaving said that, Mum is coming over to help me with the nursery tomorrow and we're going shopping at the weekend to get the bulk of baby bits.
The NCT classes are going well, but I think DH feels a bit cheated now we're having a section and all of his studying is a bit redundant :rotfl: Bless him, I think he wanted to prove he could be an amazing birth partner. I've tried telling him all the ways he can still help, and how lovely he's being, but I think he wanted a moment of stoic "I've been up for 14 hours and she nearly squeezed my hand off" glory0 -
Good luck to all the boldies! Lots of good news in the next few days, what a lovely time
Off work today as feeling horrid. I keep carrying on like I'm not six months pregnant but my body knows better and has made sure that all I'm fit for today is lying on the couch lol
My friend from work had her baby yesterday and I'm so so pleased for her as I know how long she's waited for her. Made me really broody though, lucky I'm pregnant otherwise I would have been really green with envy. As it is I'm just a little green tinged lol
Really paranoid about little lady coming early. There's family history- my mum and her two sisters all had their first babies 6 weeks early and I just worry I'll be the same or even earlier. If I can get to 37 weeks I'll be happy, hopefully I'll be jinxing myself worrying about it and she'll keep us waiting around past her due datejust want her here healthy, that's all that matters x x
