  • Evening ladies!

I popped to see my dad this evening and we went out for dinner which was really nice. Hubby works shifts so it also meant I wasn't eating alone (which I hate - I always end up grazing or not eating at all). BUT.... I started getting Braxton while eating. nothing unusual there, except they are now being accompanied by period type cramps, and they appear to be coming every 25 minutes or so. It's probably nothing, but there's always that niggle of doubt when you've never had a baby! Anyway, midwife tomorrow so we'll see what she says...

I don't know whether to ring the midwife or not. I'm not getting as many kicks (or as powerful) since yesterday morning. I've used the Doppler and his heartbeat is nice and strong, but just not moving as much. Midwife said its a myth that the movements get less and less as you get closer you just don't get as big a movements as you used to.

But knowing my luck, I'll ring her, she'll come visit and he'll go mental. I suppose I could send her a text and see what she says.

When I went yesterday with a similar thing (I didn't phone, just went to the drop in), she said if any doubt then call - even if that was today i.e. don't ignore it just because I was checked yesterday. That said, my baby is back to dancing/ playing footie so no concerns today from me. She said I should call as they would send me to the hospital for monitoring if necessary. I asked if I should call the hospital triage direct instead & she said that was an option too - so not sure what the point of calling the community triage is in my area!

If the chocolate & iced water hadn't got the baby moving I probably would have called the hospital but actually after I got movement again I wasn't so concerned.

    Call her (please).:)
