I think we're ready - except he has no name lol. We were told with last baby that it was a boy and decided on a name immediately....but out popped dd2. We've had 4d scan this time so pretty sure this one is a boy but hubby wants to use that name again whereas I feel like we've already used it. Hard to describe but like using a previous pets name for your new baby.

Bags packed yesterday, everything bought, washed, ironed etc, room decorated/finished, so guess we're as ready as we will ever be. Just don't know where the weeks have gone - first 12 took forever - the rest have gone by in a flash. You ready for your new baby? X

LOL we are struggling with names too! That's difficult, I would probably keep it as a potential name then see what you think when he is here :)

I am impressed how organised you are, I've started thinking about my hospital bag but I probably wont pack it until I am off work (36 weeks) I went 2 weeks over with my son so it felt like my bag was collecting dust for weeks! The first 12 weeks were very slow but its scaring me that we will meet our baby next month (or early December!) her room is progressing, I just need to wash most things, sort into sizes and make it look tidier!! Then I need to make sure we have everything, as soon as I feel like we are almost done I think of something (like scratch mitts today!) that I need to add to the list. x

Bought a wooden rocking chair from a FB group last night, a bargain at £15 and other than a tiny scratch it's in perfect condition. I'm going to make a cushion for it and we're putting it in the nursery :)

OH felt baby hiccuping last night for the first time, he thought it was super duper cute :)

    Congrats to the new mummies!

I'm still enforcing operation eviction but with no success... Had a vigorous swim this morning but no excitement unfortunately :( Have tried all the usual methods and now researching the more unusual!

Thought I'd mention I bought scratch mitts and never used them, a lot of sleepsuits have them already attached, but again we didn't use those either!

I went 10 days over with DD1 so I'm not in a hurry to pack my bag either. I have everything in the house just need to gather them all in the same place :)

Bigzippy and amyloofoo, my colleague at work (who was due 3 weeks before me) was worried about the same thing. She had had surgery years previous and had pins in her lower spine. Consultant basically said like anyone you don't know whether a natural birth is possible til you try it. She couldn't have an epidural due to the pins so if a c-section was needed it would be done under general. Anyway she decided to try for a home birth. Baby arrived at 38 weeks at home. Labour was quick and free of complications. The coccyx is supposed to get pushed out the way but the other bones move too so don't panic ;)

I'm sure more December and January ladies will join you although they may be quieter months than September or October. Judging from people's comments on here midwives apparently think we all just got drunk over Christmas and New Year. I got very drunk at New Year tbh, we went on a short honeymoon without our toddler, but I was still on the pill til a few days after so that definitely wasn't the reason lol.

I'm impressed! Vigorous swimming sounds very energetic- my energy levels are pathetic atm. I have sent DS to childminders for the day with lots of planned things to get done but somehow returned to bed and fell asleep lol.

Eeek I'm having my baby this week! Finished work on Friday and off for induction on Friday 11th when I'll be 38 weeks!

    Can't believe it's nearly time!

Have bags just about ready but am worried I've packed too much stuff! I'm prepared to have to stay in hosp in case induction takes a while or any complications arise from my diabetes. I have a little wheelie case (hand luggage size) for me plus one for baby which I'll leave in the car til needed then I've packed a few essentials for baby in my changing bag. I'll be like buckaroo!!
