CD take care of yourself
TTC I was feeling little movements from 16weeks, but nothing from the outside until about 21 weeks. OH kept missing it until about 24weeks when it suddenly decided to give him a massive boot
Hope everyone's midwife appointments went OK yesterday. I've got one today after having high sugar in my urine last week. I managed to persuade them not to send me for the GT as I had been binging on some Thorntons chocolate at midnight the previous night then had not drunk hardly any water before my sample. I've been really good all week now so we shall see if there is any today.
Our nursery furniture is not due to arrive until the 20th July, so no idea when it will actually be built. Hopefully the nursery will be painted by then. So far the ceiling has been painted and the skirting boards have had one coat. The door will probably be off until about October though lol.

Hope your ok CD!
TTC - I felt movements externally from about 22 weeks I think but OH didn't until probably 26ish weeks I think - I knew where to feel obviously because I could feel it inside! But I have an anterior placenta and also, I am overweight so I guess baby has a layer of fat to kick through too!
Well I got up about 4 times in the night for a wee - so annoying
Now feeling tired and grumpy so have just been sat on the sofa so far this morning watching rubbish, looks as though the sun may be coming out so hopefully that will make me feel better
Hope everyone is ok

Morning all
Hope everyone is well today.
Hubby has finally got his work bonus -its love2shop vouchers - so we can finally go and buy the pram system we picked from Mothercare. Nothing like cutting it fine.
Slowly sinking that this time 2 weeks I'll be having my section!! Best get my little suitcase packed this weekend.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Morning all...
Thanks for the nice replies, I am feeling loadsss better today. Yesterday I felt totally off, think it was shock more than anything.
Didn't fancy eating but that was because it hurt my mouth when stretching the skin as of course it was starting to scab over so getting tight. Of course I did eat, just took my time.
Hubby took me to work at the end of the school day as I told work to lock my car in Tuesday night as hubby came and picked me up from town to take me to the hospital. I pretty much got the same reaction from everyone when they looked at me, sheer shock.
Swelling has started to go down today and I've been drinking through a straw to make it easier.
Baby seems non the wiser for it though which is good, been moving around as it normally does, of course I've had my doppler on my tummy more to reassure myself, which baby always likes. I get more movements when I have it on.
Re fainting at the train station, that wasn't me. This is the 1st and the last (I hope) fall I will have for a very long time.
On the plus side, I haven't had a phone call re my glucose test last Friday so assuming that means I don't have diabetes. Will be checking with my midwife though later today at my 28 week appt.
Take care all.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Glad your feeling a bit better CD must have been scary and not very pleasant
Been midwife today bump is measuring big over the top line of the chart, midwife said we'll just keep an eye on it, no mention of a growth scan or anything, I think this has made my mind up to have an elective section this time there's no way I'm putting myself through a traumatic birth with another big baby.
Feeling really fed up and my back is killing todaysorry to put a dampner on the thread.
Any news from sparkles??

Afternoon all - had my scan today and all's well. Baby had the cheek to yawn during the scan - pfft, I'm the one who's knackered you wee monster! Baby is measuring about 5.5lb so far with just over 5 weeks to go - I've had a look at the centile charts in DS' red book and if it stays on same line as it is now it will be just under 9lb at term. DS was 6 days late and 9lb so that's probably about right.
I'm getting really excited now and work is just a minor irritation for the next 6 days!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Hi all!
I can't actually believe that today is the 4th July and I'm due on the 4th August. Time is flying so much I feel like I'm only at the beginning of the pregnancy not right at the end!
Baby is moving around loads and stretching out inside which feels most peculiar, I just can't wait to meet her now!
Everyone thinks I won't make it to my due date, even at work they all think I'm about to lie down and give birth. Not sure if this is because I have a low/big bump and they might have a point, or whether this is just a reaction based on the fact that its not common to see a heavily pregnant person waddling around all day?
Those who are on their second or subsequent, did you get reactions like this?
I kinda want her to come a few weeks early because I'm desperate to meet her but I don't want to get my hopes up then sit around miserable as I go 2 weeks overdue lol
Hope your scan went well MV, and labour vibes to you nikki

Afternoon
Scan went well, and baby seems to have caught up in the measurement stakes. She weighs 4lb 14 at the moment and is on the 50th centile for size, so I am happy with that.
Looks like she is on course to be a shade under 8lbs at birth, pretty much the same as DS!

How weird as I have just come back here to mention my 28 week appointment.
At 25+3 I measured 27 cm which midwife was happy with, today at 28+3 I measured at 32 cm. 1st time she measured she got 34 cm and I freaked out inside as knew that was too much, she re took it and got 32 cm and said out aloud 'that's better'.
I did ask if the measurement was okay and she said she wasn't concerned at the moment, but at my next visit which is in 2 weeks instead of 3 as she's on annual leave that if she has any concerns about what I was measuring she'd refer me for a scan.
Does it just tend to mean baby is bigger than it should be???
She tried ringing for my glucose results to rule out for sure I didn't have diabetes but couldn't get through so is ringing me later with the results.
Besides that baby's heart beat was totally fine. I asked if everything was alright given my fall and she said baby sounded perfectly happy, phew....Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better CD and that the scan went well MV
Had my routine ME appointment this morning with another new midwife - she was lovely though. Work up in the middle of the night with bad cramping and some sharp pains so I was sent up to the hospital, couple of hours later and I'm at home with a suspected urine infection - boo.
Worst part is that I missed my hair & nails appointment! My Debt Free Diary
