  • Claree - i agree theyre totally useless, the delivery driver told me that my address doesnt come up on a sat nav, and he almost took them back to the store?? This was for the first bits. Yet no one else has sat nav issues visitin me!!

Anyone else feel theur dh is in denial?? Cant get mine to do anything baby related at the minute! Weeks are down to single figures, yet our house looks the same as it did 30 weeks ago!!

Picked my parcel up last night, called again today to complain.

Apparently the driver came at 12.33pm but couldn't get access to the building. He then scanned a card at 13.46 and posted it to me.

So I got the security guy in here to check the CCTV (he wasn't busy!) and no parcelforce van turned up at all. Once I told them this it changed to "oh..right...I'll need to get someone to call you back..." - that was about half 1ish, still waiting!

I didn't actually pay for delivery and it was a free phone number so I'm not sure what I actually want out of them - just admission that they're !!!!!

That's really bad. For what it's worth, I would make a song and dance too. I hate being lied to more than anything!

    Good luck getting it sorted.

  • Glad i'm not alone pp!!

I have a chest if drawers in a box and everything else slung under the bunk bed in the playroom! I need a nursery not a bloody landscaped garden!! Although the garden looks lovely, i honestly dont think baby will give a damn about his decking for a few years!

I have the babys chest of drawers still flat packed in the hallway where it has been for 2 weeks. All the clothes are still in their plastic bags in a box. My bag is unpacked.. though today I did throw in nappies, wipes, cotton wool and pads.. and a blanket.. it's a start! I'm a week ahead of you and won't be getting past 37 weeks.. ok... now I panic!

    Mattress ordered!

Wellll I look a right state at the moment. Fell over yesterday after work by just walking into town, right ankle went and all I thought was, don't fall flat onto bump so compensated and went to the right.

Top teeth cut my bottom lip, top lip is massively swollen, grazed under my nose, under my right eye and forehead. All on the right side of my face.

Did I hurt my tummy at all - nope. So done my 1st 'mum' deed and thought of baby 1st before me. Took myself to the hospital, again not for me but for bump and told them I wasn't concerned about how I looked was just worried about bump.

Was told they have plenty of cushioning inside and unless I had any bleeding etc they had no concerns.

Phoned my midwife this morning who suggested I phone my hospital I'm having baby at as I'm 28+2 and the antenatal clinic weren't concerned either. They asked if I'd had any bleeding, loss of water or tightening in my tummy at which I hadn't and I've felt baby move last night and today so they said that was all good signs.

I do look a right mess though, had to get some straws to be able to drink. Thankfully I am at the midwife tomorrow anyway for my 28 week appointment so I'm hoping she'll listen to the heart beat again anyway.

I'm now not allowed to walk anywhere on my own according to my husband or my friends from work, lol.

And what was happening today at work as well as tomorrow........ofsted. So really perfect timing to be off.

At what point could you guys see/ feel movement externally.

DH does know there's a baby in there - he's been at every scan but I wonder whether it will become more real to him when he can see/ feel.

Plus friend's 7 year old son is desparate to see/ feel movement - far more excited than DH!

My OH first felt ours around 24/25 weeks. I'm sure I could feel external movement before that but it just depended if his hand was in the right place at the right time.

My complaining to B&Q clearly worked - £25 voucher winging its way to me.
