I think they ideally do them as soon as they pick up on a potential high level, mine was 31 weeks :)

Really struggling with this heat rash or whatever it is - I'm sick of being itchy!! Off to Ikea with my Mum tonight which will be a nightmare after 8 hours in the office but has to be done I suppose!

Have you mentioned the itching to the dr/mw????

Just to be checked for obstetric cholestasis.. it isn't common but by God and all his dogs it itches like nothing on earth!.. Best to be sure if nothing else. I had it with DS1 and wanted to skin myself alive just to make it stop!

They took blood when I was at the hospital a week or so ago to check if it was something to do with my lungs/kidneys (not sure if it's the same thing you're talking about?) but that came back clear so they're thinking it's just a heat rash. I'll mention it again tomorrow though 'cause the E45 they suggested just isn't working.

OC is a liver problem.. basically the bile is not filtered out of the blood and makes you itch in severe cases you can develop jaundice and other problems. It doesn't always have a rash but I did.

It could have been that that they were testing for - I'll ask again tomorrow though. I don't have much of an actual visable rash anymore, just itch!

Parcelforce posted me the "we couldn't deliver" card from yesterday. How ridiculous is that?

My GTT at 26 weeks was fine. Fast forward to 32 weeks growth scan showed excess fluid round baby and slightly measuring too big. Rushed through another GTT and bingo have it.
Said they were happy for me to have section. Got to 36 weeks growth scan growth had levelled off but more fluid so diagnosed with Polyhydramnios.

I thought to myself well the GD, Polyhydramnios and existing high blood pressure getting them to sign of on an elective section would be easy (have to have constant monitoring for the high BP so means no water birth or walking round for me) but no still tried to convince me to have normal delivery. But I refused. So elective for me.

Goodness- well even though the are recommending a "trial labour" for me at the moment it is my choice.

When I had a heat rash I found none of the creams worked they just made it worse as the heat couldn't escape from under them. The best thing I found was aloe vera gel, it's cooling and soothes like nothing I've found before. Might be worth trying. Works wonders on sunburn as well.

When I had itching near the start of my pregnancy, I went to the Drs and was tested but everything was fine, as the itching was so bad the Dr prescribed doublebase gel for me - its a greasy kind of moisturiser and it worked really well, may be worth asking about it

Went to midwife yesterday. All sounds good. Good strong heartbeat and got the MATB1 form so I can sort that out sometime soon :)

She mentioned the Whooping Cough next session but I said I'm not having it. I didn't with either of my girls and they're fine. But apparently I have another set of bloods to come out at 28 weeks so that should be fun.

Little man is doing full on kicks now. Even when I'm standing so that eases my mind a bit :) I seem to have calmed down on the growing outwards front. Just seem to be firming up now which is nice.

    How's everyone elses bump looking?

Massive. I don't know how I could possibly grow any bigger and I still have 4 and a half weeks to go!
