Aargh not getting anything useful done! Feeling immense guilt for being off sick from work. And then I fell asleep at around midday and woke up at 4.30pm. What's wrong with me?!!0

Well I've led on the sofa, been for a walk, scrubbed the bathroom walls and floors and cleaned it all, sorted out the bathroom drawers and the airing cupboard and changed the bed but nothing, not a single twinge or pain - obviously baby isn't wanting to come out today
I cleaned the bathroom etc.... but nothing! You need to go on a massive shopping spree! (preferably with the OH's money!) Worked for me!
Still lurking to see how things are progressing with the guys who are getting close! Hope things are going well with Sparkles today.0 -
There's a tempt of fate if ever I did see one. Cue 11pm waters breaking and 3am rush to hospital
xx
I secretly hope this happens, I just want it out now!
Worst thing is I have a MW apt tomorrow and she has already told me that she won't be interfering by doing a sweep or anything until next week!
40+0New first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!

No pain and no worries about getting to hospital in time (my biggest fear is being at home alone when baby decides to appear).
I have 12 hours to decide my maternity leave date... Ladies when did you take yours?
I'm thinking 36wks as that gives me a month to sort the house or rest. Plus I'm shattered after just one day back at work... 5 more weeks might do me in.
I'm working till 39+5.
Knowing myself, I'll probably be a bit anxious beforehand and the thought of sitting home alone for too many days waiting to give birth is not a good one! Of course the risk is that my waters break at work or worse during the commute!
I work 25 miles from home and was wondering what would happen if I did go into labour whilst at work. Would I be taken to the hospital near my work..or my usual hospital near home? I see my midwife next week so I can always ask her then but I know she'll have a go at me for working so late
I hope everyone is coping/feels well today. I'd like to say I'm enjoying pregnancy but I actually find it a bit embarrassing. I have never encountered so many people gawping at me! Is this just me? I'm so self conscious - I've spent every toilet trip at work assessing my bump size from all angles, wondering if I am just humongous. I don't think I am but one girl has been saying for weeks how big I am for my dates and am I carrying quads! I hate that I'm being like this - worrying about my image basically when I'm busy making a miracle but I feel so slow and fat!!!0 -

Had two days out on fieldwork with our students. Both involved a lot of walking, including up and down steep slopes. Lots of the teenagers slipped onto their bottoms but I was very careful and stayed upright
2nd day (today) i felt it was much harder, like my muscles were already tired. Funny thinking that a month from now there's no chance I'd be able to do the same walk not only would it be too tiring and I would be more unbalanced but I wouldn't be able to zip up my waterproof coat and fleece- they will only just about zip up now lol!
So will start taking it easier from now on- DH home nearly on time for once (6:30) so as soon as he came in I ran myself a bath. Left him pwith a reminder of DS's latest bedtime routine which ends with bedtime at 8 but he put him to bed 40 minutes earlier. Haha! Anyway no complaints from DS so no worries
Ladies you've made me determined to polish my nails this week. Will aim to do them tomorrow on my 'day off'.

Thanks pigpen and fluffy sox. I'm basically resting continuously but can't quite get rid of the not working guilt! I suppose this is to be expected, especially as I've been fine through the rest of the pregnancy. Need to start sorting babys stuff out but I literally can barely be bothered to leave my bed!!0

anyone else feeling very laidback with their subsequent pregnancies? I havent even sorted my hospital stuff and I am having baby in 2 weeks!!
Tbh I feel like I'm forgetting something as there are few appts with midwives to attend, no antenatal classes, not really any shopping to do etc. There's always stuff on my to do list so I'm directing my energy at that, writing a new list each week but really I feel like I should be doing something and I don't know what it is:rotfl: hence why I keep coming on here in case one of you ladies remind me2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

I'd had 2 of mine by now.. I've not done a thing.. still not bought the new mattress, not washed anything.. apart from the sheets brought back from DD1 because they smelled wrong and I had a baby wash set to go anyway, they will be rewashed with this ones stuff when I get round to it. there is no floor space for the basket, the clothes are in packets in a drawer and I actually don't care, can't be bovrilled.. and I had the starts of a show today.. tbh, that means nothing but still... I should make more of an effort.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Speaking of forgetting stuff can anyone remind me at what point I need Anti-d and whopping cough jabs? So I can make appts or put a reminder on my calendar. Thanks2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
