Just saw this on the bbc site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-23143652
I can see where they are coming from, but my first thought was that its not stopping til the end of the year, so I'll still get my freebies in September!0 -

I'm not surprised tbh - no other part of the medical profession allows marketing. The fact that they'll try and get you to buy a picture of your newborn for an extortionate prices just hours after you've given birth just doesn't sit right with me.
This however:
"According to the HMRC, 82% of all UK child benefit paid is as a result of the forms handed out by Bounty ladies.""
Is a ridiculous statement. If bounty didn't give forms it wouldn't mean that 82% of people wouldn't claim child benefit - they're just using the most convenient method! My Debt Free Diary

Well I've led on the sofa, been for a walk, scrubbed the bathroom walls and floors and cleaned it all, sorted out the bathroom drawers and the airing cupboard and changed the bed but nothing, not a single twinge or pain - obviously baby isn't wanting to come out todayNew first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!

I agree Claree, i think its ridiculous that they are allowed to come round hassling new mothers a few hours after giving birth! I have heard lots of stories about how forceful they can be with their sales tactics and even telling people they wont get child benefit if they dont hand over their details to get a form off them. I've heard they use your details to send lots of marketing rubbish afterwards to.
