I can see where they are coming from, but my first thought was that its not stopping til the end of the year, so I'll still get my freebies in September!
Good! About bloomin' time. I can't believe the nursing staff allowed the bounty woman to visit me in intensive care last time. Hopefully i'll be in more of a fit state to tell them to sod off this time.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Angel, mine's next week at 25 weeks but a work colleague has hers at 28 weeks.
I was told it needed to be done at 25 weeks.
I guess it's just one of those things which strangely differs by area.
I have to go to the maternity hospital for mine but I think someone else has said they could have it done at the GP surgery.0 -

I think they ideally do them as soon as they pick up on a potential high level, mine was 31 weeks
Really struggling with this heat rash or whatever it is - I'm sick of being itchy!! Off to Ikea with my Mum tonight which will be a nightmare after 8 hours in the office but has to be done I suppose! My Debt Free Diary

Not sure why its (glucose tolerance test) so late, consultant said I should have it when I met them at my 20 week scan / appt. Because last baby was big and because the midwife had found a bit of sugar in my water sample. They just told me that the referral would be sent to my GP and to wait til I heard from them. 3 weeks later I rang GP surgery as I hadn't heard and they said they'd just got letter that day saying I needed the test done between 26-29 weeks.
Basically I am meeting consultant again at 36 weeks after a growth scan to decide whether to try for a natural birth or have a planned caesarian. So far they are recommending we try natural birth but if I fail to progress then I would go straight to a section. (no syntosin drip first) But if I am diagnosed with gestational diabetes the "management would be different" whatever that means.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

My GTT at 26 weeks was fine. Fast forward to 32 weeks growth scan showed excess fluid round baby and slightly measuring too big. Rushed through another GTT and bingo have it.
Said they were happy for me to have section. Got to 36 weeks growth scan growth had levelled off but more fluid so diagnosed with Polyhydramnios.
I thought to myself well the GD, Polyhydramnios and existing high blood pressure getting them to sign of on an elective section would be easy (have to have constant monitoring for the high BP so means no water birth or walking round for me) but no still tried to convince me to have normal delivery. But I refused. So elective for me.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
