Well I've been lurking around here for a while & put myself on the list ages ago - but today is the day I truly belong!
It's all starting to get real.
I 'know' many of you from previous threads so it's good to be here with you.
Pregnancy going well so far, some morning sickness in early pregnancy but since about 14 weeks have been feeling really well. Not put any weight on (good job as I am overweight to start with) although very few of my trousers fit.
Only issue is that the placenta is covering the cervix. This will be monitored & if still in the same place at the end of pregnancy I will need to have a section (as the exit route is blocked!). Not losing any sleep over that at the moment as if that's the worse problem to face I will consider myself lucky.
Starting to think about baby shopping - although there seems to be far too much choice on prams etc. It blows my mind!
Good luck to the ladies who are due/ overdue & look forward to happy news from you all.

I have heard lots of stories about how forceful they can be with their sales tactics and even telling people they wont get child benefit if they dont hand over their details to get a form off them. I've heard they use your details to send lots of marketing rubbish afterwards to.

Cot arrived today! OH wants to put it up already but I've said not until he has finished the spare room. It was 70% off at kiddicare with half price mattress so very happy with that.
Exhaustion seems to be starting to drift away now and I'm managing to get to the evening without falling asleep, thank goodness. Got a few weekends with no plans now which is a blessed relief. Might actually get some stuff done around the house!0 -
I'm in quite a bit of discomfort today. It started at lunchtime when baby was going a bit bezerk so I thought a walk to the shop might help - WRONG!
Felt even worse when I got back to the office.
Having picked up DS from nursery and given him dinner, I am exhausted and aching.
Our new moses basket and mattress arrived though so I'm feeling a bit more like we are getting stuff sorted which is good.
Welcome to the thread TTC40

I've been and collected the sheets for the basket from DD1.. I feel a bit bad that she washed them al and I've brought them home and put them straight in the washer.. they smell wrong.. I nagged her about the blankets though as none of those were included! So we have a basket and sheets and no blankets! .. I have bought a couple of new ones so it won't freeze.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

i keep forgetting things I should have. I had no bibs till today when MIL got us some. I have no muslins and no sheets. No big problems really. All can be picked up easily enough. Collecting the moses basket and stand from my friend this weekend. That will make it feel a lot more real.
anyone else feeling very laidback with their subsequent pregnancies? I havent even sorted my hospital stuff and I am having baby in 2 weeks!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
