have been painting this weekend (36+4) but a hour round the shops was agony yesterday. i certainly would advise getting all your purchases sorted by then. Doesnt help I have excess fluid round baby so the pressure after about 10min walk is too much
Last time I hardly left the house in the last week or so. Was so much easier to put my feet up with the first one'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I had to use up 4 weeks annual leave before I started maternity, so because I'm being induced at 38 weeks I finished at 34 weeks and ML officially starts the week baby is supposed to make an appearance (so week beginning July 22nd) Although I have to say my consultant wasn't keen on me staying in work until then!
Attempting to get Wriggler turned tonight and had my yoga class, he hasn't turned but he is so chilled tonight, I'm getting the odd movement but nothing compared to his usual acrobatics!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
Morning
Huge sympathy with those with random pains - getting a few myself but nothing to write home about. Top of my back & my bum get bloomin' sore towards the end of a day on my desk chair at work though.
Still got this stupid rash on my wrists/feet. Woke up last night scratching my foot and although it felt amazing (ha!) it stung like !!!! afterwards.
Taking my mat. leave at 34+6 - was going to leave it later but I've got 2 weeks fostering following on so really 36+6 - not that it really counts as a job as I just get to sit about my mum's house instead of my own!My Debt Free Diary

I'm officially starting maternity leave at 38 weeks however I'm using 4 weeks of annual leave before it so technically starting at 34 weeks. Well that is if my work give me all the days.
Quite glad I'm going off soon as I'm shattered. Been suffering from braxton hicks which have been really painfulchronic heartburn too, been drinking milk like jts going out of fashion but then it would appear that my stomach can only tolerate small amounts of milk. Fun times. Will just continue to steal the fathers zantac :rotfl:

Start maternity leave at 36 weeks. However used up annual leave to minimise working hours before then so that I'm working 2 days per week instead of 4
Think I'm ready to start it now actually though, I'm 31+1 and off sick this week as I'm absolutely exhausted and feeling unwell. DH on at me to start leave now but I don't think the 8 working days I have left will be too much of an issue.

I wouldn't say it's as effective as the good old drugs but it definitely helps! Totally safe during pregnancy (no steroids etc like some nasal sprays)

I've been using this for past few weeks now, but its doing nothing at the moment, so gave in last night and got some piriton. My midwife told me ages ago if my hayfever gets really bad, the doc can prescribe it, and from looking online they don't like you taking it late on in pregnancy as it can make baby sleepy (not good for labour), but as I'm only 28 weeks I figured it was worth taking one to try and get a good nights sleep - I've actually been sick the past few nights with the hayfever, and wasn't sick once last night, so it def helped.
Apart from that, not a lot doing here. Yesterday was my first official day of mat leave (28+3), but had already been off work for 2.5 weeks sick leave/annual leave anyway. In an ideal world, I'd have worked until 37 weeks but issues at work meant that just wasn't possible.0 -
Morning All
Hope everyone is ok, D day today but no signs whatsoever of anything happening for me
Need to find a way to keep myself busy today, I'm thinking some light spring cleaning (or end up sat here internet shopping!!)

Just realised it's my niece's birthday tomorrow - looks like I'm forking out for next day delivery, nightmare :rotfl:
I got my nails done last night and I love them. I know I'll have to compromise on acrylics when baby's here as they're not all that practical but I spent about 2 years with them on prior to falling pregnant. Took them off almost by accident (had an appointment to get them done the weekend my granda had passed away and it obviously didn't seem that important) and haven't had them done since...now I don't want to give them up again! My Debt Free Diary
