benicetonmyself: ive been having bad hip and back pain, stopping me sleeping turning over in bed etc, finally got consultant to refer me to physio but still waiting back to hear.
How did you find pilates? is it gentle or are some of the exercises too hard? ive been thinking of taking something up but was worried yoga would be too difficult as i havent done that before and perhaps pilates might be better.

as for me, coming up to 26 w this weekend and i seem to get a different pain everyday, im def not one of those women that just blooms in pregnancy.

Bit of an embrassing question, dont really want to ask my male consultant but ive been having pains 'down below' :) mainly right under, not inside but where your hair is really, its a strange pressure pain its really bad from being in bed over night as soon as i sit up it feels like all the blood rushes there and gets very painful, it gradually eases during the day but if i do a lot of walking i get a dragging pressure feeling and the pain seems more generally than any particular place.
I asked my midwife and she just seemed to fudge it off as 'pregnancy pains'. Ive used dr google and up popped varicose veins in the vagina  which i can imagine look as good as they sound! Ive tried to have a look with a mirror which was difficult enough with my bump but all seems to be ok and i cant see anything.. sorry for that imagine first thing in the morning!

anyone else having anything similar, not sure if its releated to hip pain or something totally different.

I'm having pains down below in my groin but it's more a bony ache if you know what I mean. Right where your bones part to let baby out! I've totally stopped jumping in my exercise which helps. I'm not sure if yours is the same cleofish. Knees together during sleep aggravates the pain so this might be why its feeling worse in the morning? Also separating your legs is linked to it so walking and stairs etc. might make it worse. I used a spare pillow between my knees for a bit which made it slightly better. 2 nights with the dreamgenie pillow and it vanished! Try googling SPD to see if you have similar symptoms and maybe tell your midwife if you suspect you have it. I think I only have it mildly but I'm taking action now to make sure it doesn't get worse - I don't want to end up on crutches or a wheelchair!

Most instructors don't like you to start pilates if you are already pregnant and new to it. Pregnancy yoga is great for aches and niggles - well from my teacher anyway! you can start pregnancy yoga anytime after 14/16 weeks and its nice and gentle.

littleskintdragon I've been following this list. I've gotten 5 bodysuits and 6 sleepsuits in newborn and I think that's all I need for now. 0-3 months I'm going to ask for as pressies.

neneromanova I'm only just starting to enjoy pregnancy before that I was too worried!

Ihatedida I love your posts, they make me feel much more positive about pregnancy and looking forward to my little one arriving.

Labour vibes to Nikkiann. Hope you're enjoying the sleep and rest while you can!

This one.. I also have hip dysplasia and arthritis.. TBH other than a bit of hip and knee pain and sciatica I was fine with the first 8.. so I might just be old but I've has crutches with the last 3 from about midway.

I'd request a referral to physio.. yours might be more use than the one here!

Well after having ++++ Glucose found in my urine last week, this week is was back to nil. The MW won't be sending me for a GTT as she suspects it will come back negative anyway. She still thinks I might have a sensitivity to sugar though so told me to take it easy on sweet things and carbs.

Baby is now measuring on the big size. However the midwife who measured me last week did so on the small size. She will send me for a growth scan in two weeks if she is still measuring me big. Are they likely to induce me sooner if the baby is measuring big?

    Honestly - who knows.

My baby's been measuring big for weeks now. I asked about a growth scan and was told that they wouldn't do one 'cause they'd just see a big baby and that'd be it. Apparently at the moment I've just to consider myself a "normal" pregnancy and I'll be allowed to go to term + unless I go naturally before that and I'll be allowed to try to give birth naturally and if it's not progressing then I might have to be sectioned.

Different people are being told different things though so might depend on where you are in the country etc.

am not meant to have the pram I/We had chosen. Has gone out of stock again. Was meant to be getting the Mothercare Xpedior but is selling out within a week or 2 of being in stock so we have gone for this one http://www.mothercare.com/Joie-Chrome-3-in-1Travel-System---Jewel/853840,default,pd.html instead. Is brand new model so no reviews. But it has everything we want in a pram system and is a great price too. Will be here Tuesday so will try and get it set up then.

Am bit gutted bout the other one but something was stopping us getting it so must be a good thing that we wont have it.

Hope everyone is well today. Gorgeous weather, sitting in sun for about 30 mins then going inside as it gets too hot.
