OH off to DD1's to collect the bedding for the baby.. just the chair and bath too still there but we can live without those for a bit.
I have a stack of stuff in returns being collected tomorrow which has cleared a bit of space. in my room..
OH has the drawers to erect for DS3 too which will mean I can rid my room of a box of baby stuff.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks for the clothes answers, pigpen im thinking about the same amount as you.
I know my washing machine is going to be on constantly but if i just buy white then they can all be bunged in together, and baby can wear the proper outfits when i take him/her out! White looks cute on them anyway.
So many things to think about......
Good luck with the labour minimuffin xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
I only buy white.. and I have so much other washing I can leave them a day or 2 and not run out.
Oooh.. and I don't bother with those stupid hooded towels either.. they don't even wrap the babies body! Just buy a couple of ordinary bath towels and use those.. much better quality and can be their towels forever!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've got 12 sleep suits and 12 vests. DH says I've bought too many, I don't think he's in the real world.0

i have about 12 vests maybe more, they are so cheap in the supermarkets anyway to buy so if we need more thats ok.
i have given anything (not vests) that was all white away to my brother and girlfriend (she's due week after me). I love all the bright colours that are around at the moment.
have spend most of the afternoon asleep, making up for the insomnia i had last night. am trying to convince DH that he should get as much sleep now too. He does his fair share of nighttime duty so he should rest'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I really love that my OH and DS1 get along quite so well.. They are both playing in the garden at the moment... they've been out there since about 4ish.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I would say 12 sleepsuits and vests is about right. Plus you tend to get lots of gender specific clothes as presents once baby is here.
I've bought 1 sleepsuit for this one. I have quite a few gender neutral newborn stuff as we didn't know the sex of ds1, and ds2 was never in newborn as he was so long. This one will be a week or so early as planned c section so will probably fit in newborn for a week or two!0 -
Hi everyone,
sorry to hear your feeling uncomfortable nikkiann, sounds like your little one is comfortable though and hanging in there. hoping something happens for you soon and you get to meet them.
benicetonmyself: ive been having bad hip and back pain, stopping me sleeping turning over in bed etc, finally got consultant to refer me to physio but still waiting back to hear.
How did you find pilates? is it gentle or are some of the exercises too hard? ive been thinking of taking something up but was worried yoga would be too difficult as i havent done that before and perhaps pilates might be better.
as for me, coming up to 26 w this weekend and i seem to get a different pain everyday, im def not one of those women that just blooms in pregnancy.
Bit of an embrassing question, dont really want to ask my male consultant but ive been having pains 'down below'mainly right under, not inside but where your hair is really, its a strange pressure pain its really bad from being in bed over night as soon as i sit up it feels like all the blood rushes there and gets very painful, it gradually eases during the day but if i do a lot of walking i get a dragging pressure feeling and the pain seems more generally than any particular place.
I asked my midwife and she just seemed to fudge it off as 'pregnancy pains'. Ive used dr google and up popped varicose veins in the vagina  which i can imagine look as good as they sound! Ive tried to have a look with a mirror which was difficult enough with my bump but all seems to be ok and i cant see anything.. sorry for that imagine first thing in the morning!
anyone else having anything similar, not sure if its releated to hip pain or something totally different.
I've had a lot more pelvic pain earlier on with this one than o can remember with my other two, and I know what you mean with the dragging/pressure, mine gets worse if I go to the toilet or do housework. I never got this with my first two pregnancies but this is my first pregnancy following a natural birth so the midwife told me the dragging feeling is due to a weaker pelvic floor and to make sure I do pelvic floor exercises.
I must admit since doing these more frequently I don't get the sensation as much.
I was worried the feeling of pressure was due to varicose veins in the lady bits but I couldn't see anything. So I made the mistake of googling for images to see what I should look for. Really wish I hadn't....0 -

I had about 6-8 vests and sleepsuits for DS in newborn and some were never worn. They didn't get dirty so we were changing him daily but it seemed pointless. Then because he was born big he grew out of newborn within a fortnight.
Consider buying say 6 sets of newborn as you can send someone to buy more from the supermarket if you find you're struggling. Or you can open a pack of 0-3 months if the others are dirty- it doesn't matter if the legs are a bit long.
I have lots of yellow and white stuff from last time so all I've bought is a nice blue set in 0-3 from Asda after my 20 week scanMum has bought a lovely clothing set in 3-6 months too
Getting cramps in my feet now. Suffered from this last time too but touch wood its not as bad yet.
Still getting acid reflux in my throat- Rennies are my best friend
Apart from that I'm generally OK.
