As long as the baby is born healthy. She obviously has problems, I don't feel sorry for the baby, after reading the article she quite obviously wants to beat the problem. I feel sorry for babies put into care, babies born to mothers who don't want them, this one is wanted and loved.

Waved OH and DS off for the day/night just now as they are taking a load of stuff up to OH's parents place in Warwickshire to store in an effort to get baby's nursery clearance underway.

I must be hormonal as I am really missing DS already :( I was going to go too, but a 3 hour drive there and then back again tomorrow morning just wasn't appealing, so I am going to lounge about a bit this morning and then head over to my best friends on the other side of London later today and stay the night there with a takeaway and film.

Peace and quiet is great..but it just is very..um..quiet!

Hope everyone enjoys the sunshine today.

My sister is a very petite size 0, her babies were all 7lb-ers. Eldest born 2nd Jan and at her xmas party noone knew she was pregnant. I think some people just don't show very much. I don't think I agree with this article though, it's not going to help with the mothers self-image at all.

No your right it won't, especially the comments she"ll receive after it from the public... Just like the lady on here saying she feels sorry for the baby. I just don't think it is a fair comment to say "I feel sorry for the baby". I'm not wishing to offend anyone or cause a argument, I just didn't like reading it and thought I would comment :) enjoy the sun ladies!

@bigzippy- congrats on your recent scan, I can't really offer any advice in your medical issues but I would recommend that you ask for a physio referral. My yoga teacher gave me a lot of advice re excercises to protect joints during pregnancy as the correct muscle activation can help keep things the pelvis and other joints more stable.

Re the article I find it very sad for the mother and the baby. It is an awful illness to have and I really hope that she recipes and her baby is well.

AFM 34 weeks today, 3 weeks left in work and waiting to close the sale on a house, eek it has been delayed and trying not to freak out too much about it. We have a bit of work to do to make it habitable so I really hope it closes soon so we can get ready in time for the baby arriving. We have most of the big things sorted at this stage, travel system, Moses basket etc but our spare room is bulging and I really want to have it all sorted but as we are due to move there it is not much I can do! Physically the last few weeks have been hard? I have out on 11kg and I am staring to feel huge!

Hope all are well, labour vibes to those who need it and welcome to the new joiners.

Quick question - does anyone know where I can get a cheap full length dress that will cover my mahoosive belly. I am faaaaar too hot and also cannot be bothered to shave my legs hence need for floor length! I've had a look online but specific maternity dresses seem a bit pricey for the amount of wear I'll get out of it and I also know that shops often don't have their mat range in stock

Courgette, New Look had loads of stretch jersey type maxi dresses when i was in there the other day, lots of lovely plain or patterned ones. Loads of room to accomodate a bump even though they are not maternity specifically. I think most of them were in the £15-20 range.

I got some from Simply Be.. I have 2 which I live and die in!! I really would love a couple more.. I did get some from Asos but they were a stupid length.. I am sure there are more people my height than the 6ft93 you'd have to be to fit in their dresses! The only problem with them is they are halterneck which I really hate
