Hi everyone.
Just back from a week away in Harlech, Wales. Was amazing, however bump liked the Welsh water a little too much and seems to have grown loads :0
Back at work tomorrownot sure how I'm going to cope in my uniform with the heat. Have also found out that they don't have a maternity uniform so have had to go up 2 sizes already, huge across my shoulders and getting tighter across bust & bump. Dread to think how many sizes I will have gone up by the time I go on maternity.
But on a happy note we have our next scan on Tuesdayand should hopefully find out if its pink or blue. Can't believe how quick it seems to be going.
Lots of labour vibes for those who are due xx

Well I feel like a big fat baked potato.. I am sitting in my beautifully cool house being grumpy and finishing knitting the 4 cardigans I have done for the baby so I can get all the remaining bits washed tomorrow and make a start on knitting the jumper for DD1 for Christmas.
Baby seems t have finally settled head down.. which I am a little relieved about even it the rib kicking and limbs poking out the front of my tummy is very painful. I seem to have almost constant BHs which are rather sore now.
We're still supposed to be going to OH's mums next weekend which I am really not looking forward too at all. The bed is painful enough to sleep in at the best of times, it is like sleeping on a sponge there is just no support at all I hate it.. and if it is stupid hot they will all insist on sitting outside leaving me on my own in the house for much of the weekend.. I guess I can get my knitting done in peace thoughLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks for the replies about the health conditions ladies. Amyloofoo, I already have some adaptations and equipment (including bath hoist, crutches and wheelchair (bought the last one myself, use it for big/longer stores and walks - plus it's prettier than the nhs ones
)) so at least I wouldn't be waiting for that. The physio, I'm hoping I'll get without too much trouble, further down the line. Mw said she'd reassess at 20 wks, but I have a community mw too and can always ask her or gp for an earlier referral if I need to. Tbh, although I can tell the difference in my joints, they haven't been too bad yet... I have a consultant atonement just after my 20 wk scan, so we'll see what they think of it all then. I have previously been told I may end up having a C-section to save my hips properly dislocating etc, but I wouldn't push for one, especially as I don't heal well/fast so it would probably be more traumatic/problematic than a dislocation
Anyhow, even though I'm a big bag of emotionsand struggling to believe it's all real today, can I be added to the list please? My EDD is 8th January 2014
Hoping s/he doesn't come early and end up with a birthday too close to Christmas
P.s. Also looking forward to sparkles update..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Baby brain is well and truly kicking in. Three times this weekend I've thought "I need to go and do x", got up and by the time I've got to whatever room I need to be in I've forgotten what I was going to do.0
