Pregnancy yoga this evening, is anyone else doing this?

I was doing normal pilates but my instructor had to stop the class due to work commitments. Handily, I met a couple of girls at my NCT class recently who do pregnancy yoga so I've joined them. The first two sessions were quite hard work! My body isn't used to the positions and my bump has had a growth spurt recently!

  • Saw the midwife yesterday everythings fine measuring to dates etc. Booked in for a sweep for 5th Oct 7 days after my due date not that im planning to go over. Havent with the other 3 second one was 3 days early and youngest arrived bang on time.
Braxton hicks still tormenting me mainly late afternoon until i go to sleep then it all stops.
Been nesting and now everything is ready for baby apart from assembling the moses basket stand. Off to a toddler group tomorrow with two of my friends that attend in prep for baby arriving so that i dont feel self conscious if i have to attend on my own when baby is here at least i'll know the other mums.

Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
  • Not sure whether they're still in the shops at this time of year but for skirts, I bought some of those ones that are meant for going on holiday and have a wide stretchy bit at the top so you can wear it as either a long skirt or a short dress. They were great for post birth until I fitted back into my regular clothes too.

Strange, first time around I gave birth on my back. I was given loads of options but at that point I wasn't for moving!

Was due yesterday, not impressed that I've gone over. Don't think the MW expected that she would be seeing me tomorrow, oh well, I get to suffer the not so pleasant experience of a membrane sweep. I'm hoping she gives me an induction date tomorrow too because I'll be fed up as anything if I have to wait till 41+2 for a date.

Trying to get stuff sorted before I go, car has been in the garage for 14 days and they still can't tell me whats wrong, family friend but hes taking the preverbial now. Also, got a call from the surveyor for our house sale, made payment to get it done (EA is actually meant to pay but ill need to wait for reimbursement now, silly me thought if I paid it then at least it was done) and they were supposed to email it to me before 5pm (didnt want me to pop into the office as they closed at 5pm, i could have been there with time to spare!) but surprise surprise NO EMAIL!! I can see these overdue hormones being released tomorrow!!

I havn't done the research of why you should have baby in dif postions but I am with Nikki, having no pain relief myself and a fast labour 'ish' I would not of appreicated the midwifes telling me to get into dif postions etc I was on my back and no one could of moved me lol.

At start they told me to walk about abit but I had found the contractions were getting faster and faster but when I walked all hell broke loose and they were just unstopable...sooo I stayed right where I was lol

I guess if you have a long ish labour then perhaps it would be worth it but when your in that much pain you just don't care! :D

37 + 1...so convined I'm going to be early but I was convined with my first he would be late and he came 2 days early so fingers crossed I am not wrong this time.... would hate to go over due :(

My DS wont stop biting today (he is only 1 so any attempt to tell him off is greeted with a big grin) sitting here with my legs crossed so he stops going for my toes!! not that comfi tbh!!!
People don't know what they want until you show them.

Feeling a bit emotional after my last day at work today. So glad to be on mat leave as I really need the rest these days but its like leaving family as I've been there 5 years!

Hoping not too long to go now. Good luck to all those due or overdue.

Those ladies who are due or very near, are you still feeling lots of movement? I don't know if I am just being paranoid but I don't seem to be feeling as much as I used to, and not sure if it's because baby is all squashed up. I still feel some, so it's still alive (!) but not sure if it's right to feel less movements than I did a few weeks ago. I'm 37+5 btw. Don't want to go to antenatal if I'm just being paranoid but not sure if this is normal. Had the doctor listen to baby's heart only yesterday at my regular antenatal apt and it was normal so I'm probably just worrying about nothing.

I was wondering this same thing today as I've noticed the same, will keep an eye out for answers and ask the midwife at my appointment tomorrow.

With DD1 she didn't move as much towards the end, I think it was because there wasn't as much room. I felt that I was at full stretching point, saying that I feel like that this time and I'm only 30+6! :rotfl:

They tell you to keep watch and as long as you feel movement a few times a day its fine for some reason the numer 10 comes to mind, but I definitely remember she moved less towards the end :)
    Got married 13/11/10 :)
    DD1 born 25/03/12 :D
    DD2 born 28/11/13 :D

If you've noticed a change in movements you should get checked out. See http://countthekicks.org.uk/ for more information.
