  • I've never nested as I've always been too ill - maybe this time I will be able to. Assuming I get far enough - found out today my toddler has slapped cheek disease so am now waiting for blood test results to see whether I'm already immune or not.

  • I wouldn't panic too much BigZ but it would be worth a call to your midwife just to put your mind at ease :)

Grr, how poor quality is maternity stuff? I've got tops that I've only worn and washed a couple of times and they're all bobbly or have got holes on the seams, my black work trousers went bobbly on one thigh after one wash and the dye leaks like anything - it's made my tops and knickers go black and ruined a shirt in the wash!

So annoying, especially as none of the clothes were particularly cheap!
  • didn't get any sleep at all last night my mind was running everything that could possibly go wrong with an induction, got to try and switch off so as i can at least get a little sleep tonight, cant believe tomorrow is baby day! Providing the induction works of course lol

Re 'rash': Midwife thinks it's probably hormone related but to call back/see gp if it gets worse etc Pretty much what I thought she'd say but you have to check, don't you :)

So, I'm 24 weeks today - V day has arrived!:D Guess it's time to move over here on a more full time basis!

Good luck with the induction tomorrow jess :)

Can't remember who was supposed to get induced yesterday but started labour in the early hours? Same happened to my friend and she was kept in til the baby popped out. Hope the labour's gone well :)

Locky, I've had similar issues with maternity stuff, but they were mostly 'cheap' New Look basics items. It does bug me how expensive they generally are though, especially in comparison with "normal" prices, and are rarely on comparative offers/sales. I'm looking for a half decent autumn/winter coat to see me through, but the majority START at £75, and that idea horrifies a skinflint like me! I don't even like most of what's available

Thanks, it's not really a problem at all for DD (although it has made rather grumpy) - it's just that there's a possible risk to the baby if I catch it.

I just bought a coat a few sizes bigger than my normal size. (Although in fairness, so far I've only ever used it to walk from the house to the car or from the car to medical appointments so I don't know whether it would get annoying if you were using a coat a normal amount.)

I am watching midwives, they're showing a stark contrast between a woman panicking and a woman that's completely calm. I don't think I recommend the part I'm on for women that are scared of labour, maybe skip the woman in pink if you plan on watching it :)
