Vertbaudet - I have been sent code 2730 which gives £15 off a £20 spend on full price products & free changing bag. Postage £3.99.

Quidco 8% also worth a try.
  • Thank you Lozza1985 :D

They both look like fab cars and are just within our price range. I think Kia is definitely the way we will go, despite me previously being convinced that I had to have another Ford! I passed my driving test just less than a year ago and so I am nervous about changing to another car anyway - I passed my test IN my beloved KA!
So, with both of you owning Kia cars, would you recommend Kia? The cheapish prices, cute designs and seven year warranty do seem to have won me over, but it is a big spend and I don't want to mess it up!
We are not prepared for the arrival of our little one - the travel system is the only thing I have purchased because I still feel like it's too early (even though I'm 29+3 today!) - so getting the car sorted would be a relief.

Happy Sunday everyone - hope all is going well with your bumps. :)
Never put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

I haven't had my Venga very long, only got it in July, Dh got his Rio in Feb/March I think. We used to both have fiestas. Kias have much better mph, even for Dh who only does short journeys its far higher than he's got with any other car, and the features you get with them are much better value for money than fords. So far we haven't had any problems with them, mine is a year and a half old, Dh less than a year though. If I wasn't impressed with Dh car I wouldn't have changed to a Kia myself, the Venga does have a load more room - when we go away to Devon next year it will be in my car as there's no way we would fit everything in Dh car that we'd need for the week. Good thing is with the long warranty you can get a slightly older car and unlike other manufacturers you'd still have years on the warranty. If you do go for a Kia, I'd also recommend buying one of the boot liners, they're about £30, tough plastic to protect the boot from muddy/wet pushchairs, at the moment it's great for stopping shopping sliding round in the boot lol

My legs/upper thighs are aching horrendously yesterday and today. Not been particularly more active than usual, but baby has - I wonder if he's kicking at a nerve or something.

Need to start packing a hospital bag - I've got all the stuff for it but need to get round to actually packing it!

3 weeks left in work for me. I've got approx 5 weeks annual leave but I can carry it over to next year to tack on to the end of my mat leave, so I'm going to take the odd day over the next few weeks as I'm shattered every night after work and I'm not even doing much apart from answering the phone any more!

Halfords?? Since when did they start selling baby stuff? Bargainous though :D

Is it evil to dress your kids in matching outfits? I'm thinking it would be really cute for Christmas Day. DD1 will be 21 mths and DD2 should be 1 mth. DH isn't looking very impressed :p
    Got married 13/11/10 :)

Thanks, tried this and eventually got it to work but took ages for me to work out what things work with the code and what don't as you have to purchase full price stock from their new season collection, once you have done this it applies the discount to all items in the basket.
Got a couple of fleecey sleepsuits for winter, should keep baby warm in the cold winter nights!
Speaking of which it feels like winter is on its way already, well it is in the NW, I know it's still hot and sunny down south but this always happens, cloudy Manchester gets autumn way before the rest of the country and I'm sick of it!

Maybe sweet then - but one of my cousins dresses her daughters the same all the time. Personally I think it's not a good look - but maybe the kids like it too. They are about 7&9.

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday? I had a little bit of a hormone induced meltdown earlier :o starting trying to pack baby's hospital bag and ended up sobbing my eyes out because it all suddenly hit me that I'm going to actually have a baby in a few weeks. Cried to OH that I don't know what to do with a baby and I'm scared; poor man was trying to paint the bathroom :o:o. Once I'd calmed down, I had a sleep and things aren't so scary now :)

Just wanted a bit of advice also please; my first week of maternity leave starts tomorrow and there is a parentcraft class on Tuesday and aquanatal on Wednesday. Now, I'm really quite shy in RL and don't like social situations; I tend to have OH to help me and usually am fine once I start talking to people but I feel that it is important that I get out and start meeting people. Not sure what I'm really asking for, maybe just some reassurance that these places/activities aren't as scary as I am making them out to be in my head?! I'm going to push myself to go but in all honesty am quite scared :o

What a pathetic post! Hormones must be going crazy today! TIA for any advice. Hugs xx

I keep thinking that I'm going to have moments where it really hits me and I get my butt in gear and tidy the house but it's not happened yet!

As for classes etc. I find people are really friendly and interested in bump - you'll have a lot in common with people attending aquanatal and antenatal classes. It'll be great to start making friends and a support network now. If you are staying at home, you might find your confidence improving if you decide to go to mum & baby groups and other activties.

almost tempted to get these today! half price at £6. I wasn't sure whether to get 0-3 mths or 3-6 mths as I'm having an early October baby. Then I realised I'm gonna go crazy with Christmas outfits and accessories! I think I'll get 3-6 months as baby will be almost 3 months by Christmas day. 35+2
