No delivery company they used was city link, which we've had problems with before, every other company is fine. I just hope it comes tomorrow! No lie in for me tomorrow they could be here at 8am and Dh is at work so need to be up and ready. Still, ill get a lot of jobs done I suppose, might even do my tax return, what an exciting life I lead lol
Amazing how it's so different.
I had my pram delivered by them from mothercare last Friday. I checked mothercare online for delivery times and when it said 9am -5:30pm I was convinced I'd be waiting in all day. I'd even recorded TV shows in the week and planned what jobs to do to keep me busy. Just that feeling of knowing you don't have the option to go anywhere.
It turned up at 8:30am.
Hope it arrives soon for you, how frustrating.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Had growth scan on Wednesday - measuring slightly above average - but I'm taking it with pinch of salt as scan lady had to try about 10 times to get belly measurement from bean!
They also found a trace of glucose in pee - midwife reckons it was the pineapple/melon/mango I had for breakfast & said don't usually look further into it unless shows +2 - consultant had other ideas - blood test booked for Monday - I have to have something to eat 1 hour before blood is taken - appointment at 11.40 any ideas on what type of late breakfast I can eat that low in sugars?
Got antenatal class today - 9.30-4! Will give my verdict later!
Bean still hiccuping regularly (very distracting!)

Decided to get a double buggy - DS is two and a half and although he can physically walk ok (but not too far) the main problem is getting him to go where I want to go and not where he wants to go!
The terrible twos have struck us hard, frequently he will have a complete meltdown in public / in shops and drops to the floor having a full on leg-kicking paddy. When he's in a buggy I can at least contain him and if he really kicks off, strap him in and leave.
I've gone for the phil and teds navigator, baby goes underneath in a cocoon, we bought an ex display model so nearly new and should hold most of its value if we sell again in a year or so's time.
It's getting nearer now - four weeks till c-day (planned c section), and have got most of the stuff I think we'll need (not that it's stopping me buying more, being off on mat leave with nothing to do is very bad for the wallet!). Fed up of being pregnant now as I've got so large (and not just my tummy, I know I've put on weight all over) and just ready to move on to the birth bit now really!0 -
Pretty sure my labour has started. I was unsure until about an hour ago so didn't get DH to come home, turns out he's working 2 hours away today though! Called my Mum to come and sit with me and walk dog for me, hopefully she'll be here soon. I've got regular contractions but they're not too painful and have had a show. Think it'll still be a while yet. Was trying to keep legs crossed till Sunday for the 1st sept and therefore oldest in school year but looks like we don't get to decide these things!!0

How exciting NA! You never know could be a slow early labour and you hang on til Sun. My niece was born on 31st Aug and I'm sure my brother was told that she could choose to go in the next year's intake as she was so close to the cut off. Not sure if that's a rule everywhere or just in the area they live but if baby comes tomorrow may be something to check out in the future.0 -
ARGHHHH....midwife can't make it to my house this morning to do my birthing plan, her colleague has just rang and she made a mistake as it's her day off.
She asked if she could fit me in this afternoon, but couldn't guarantee a time/making it as depends on a lot of other things she has on due to picking up 2 peoples work. My attitude was no then, lol.
I've made plans with friends for later this afternoon because of this appointment this morning and these plans were made ages ago as it was the only time we could all get together.
So rescheduled for Monday now, though was told as I've made notes myself that's fine and if I was suddenly to go into labour early over the weekend with being 37 weeks on Monday it would be fine and just take the notes I've made.
Well whats the point of a midwife seeing your birthing plan then???? Just to tick boxes. I am very cross at the moment, I've had many appointments cancelled at the last minute and feel like I have just been left to get on with it and find out things for myself.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Good luck no angel! Not sure whether to wish you a slow labour as I haven't been through it myself yet... But good luck! Hope that TENS machine does a good job!0

Good luck NoAngel
I wont wish you a slow labour because I know how exhausting it is! I honestly think people worry too much about school years. I was youngest in my year (31st August), I kept up with all my classmates, got good GCSEs, A Levels and degree so did me no harm.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
