Is this your first baby? Do you know what flavour you're having?
No, second. My son is 5 and I was induced so didn't have to worry about going into labour etc.
Hoping to get it all over before school starts next week!
What about you?0 -
Has anyone had constant back spasms recently? Have been having them all night and has meant I can only take tiny intake of breath without shouting out in agony! I thought it was the way bubs was lying but there's been movement to either side during the night so it's not stick in one position. Was really looking forward to a good nights sleep as well!0

Congratulations Courgette - pleased you are both well.
Cute photo amus
Benice - personally, I would want and did have the cot bed in place ready, but your OH can nip out at any time to get one if needs be. This time round I'm using the moses basket for downstairs daytime sleeps only, as DD was never a fan of it. DD is still using the cotbed so I have bought this Spacesaver cot form Kiddicare, which hopefully she do baby about 6 months in my room before he/she transfers to DDs room into her cotbed:

Wow, huge link - sorry
31+6
DD2 is HUGE - 98th centile for height and I've had to cut the feet off 6-9 month babygros as she couldn't get her legs straight in them (and she's only just turned 5 months old!)... she still has a fair amount of room in one of those kiddicare cots now at the size of a 9 month old and her sister (similarly tall and 98th centile) was in it till 11 months (before anyone says anything - different mattresses).
Once the younger one starts sleeping through the night consistently we'll brave the great bedroom shuffle and put the youngest in the cot bed and the older one into a toddler bed (she's a tall climber so isn't going to be much longer for a cot bed anyway) in the same bedroom.
I've got one side off the kiddicare one - by sheer luck the mattress height is exactly the same as our bed mattress height so I've got it secured to our bed as a co-sleeper cot. Didn't plan for it to end up like that - it's just easier to reach across to replace dummies/find lost Bunny/quick cuddle than to get out of our bed, stand up (my pelvis is still shot - need to ring physio about it), pick up baby, lie back down, immediately have to stand back up again etc etc.
This time we kept the Moses basket downstairs - were meant to be having a second one but MIL didn't get it out of her loft for us in time. Now she's bigger (but still takes a while to settle for naps so I can't just pop her in her cot upstairs while supervising a toddler - we've got a travel cot downstairs in the lounge for naps and impromptu toddler jailing when required!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Dreadful night's sleep. Baby was very active when I went to bed. Whole belly jumping about. So read for an hour. Next door neighbours very noisy til nearly midnight too. Then DS woke, whingy, "sore tummy". Big wee on potty, went back to bed. 30 minutes later if that- woke again- "go downstairs, have dinner" He hadn't eaten much of lunch or dinner so hunger woke him. (I won't usually let him have pudding/ crisps etc unless he eats meals) Anyway at 1am he had peanut butter on toast. Woke several more times including another " wee-wee on a potty" about 2am. Finally at 6am he was determined to get up and have breakfast. Put it off til 7 as I was shattered but when we did go downstairs he ate toast and half a bowl of cornflakes. (more than usual so definitely was hungry). Anyway I'd arranged a day with childminder so he's out for day. He'll be tired but usually he eats better for her so that's something. And I am relaxing for the morning at least. So glad I'm off work at the moment!
Little tyke will love a meal one day and the next time he'll reject it. Won't eat sandwiches- but has jam butties occasionally. Toast has to be peanut butter.
So in future my plan is to make him supper before bed whether he's eaten his tea or not. So at least I know he hasn't gone to bed hungry.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

afternoon
I haven't had any back spasms lobey just weird spasms/ shooting pain down my inner legs at time
oh dear fluffysox, hope you manage to get more sleep tonight. I think I may have to have some peanut butter now!
had my 34 week MW appointment and talked about how tired and breathless I am and how it gets me down. I got short of breath making a telephone call this morning! MW advised me to leave work at 38 weeks at least, maybe even earlier. 34+40 -
Weighed my little boy and read off the growth charts in his red book. He is in bottom 1% for his age in months- born in 95th percentile. No fat on him, he's got muscular thighs but very dainty everywhere else. Height he is at least average. Will have to fatten him up a bit I think. I haven't had them before the past few days be nice. They seem to have gone after a hefty dose of frozen peas this morning! Am now going to have a float in the local pool to loosen up.
V. Impressed with all those who make it to working past 36 weeks, I'm due to work to 36+1 and I'm really suffering already at 33 weeks. Counting each moment I have left and hoping bubs holds off until at least beginning of October so I can have a mini break!0 -

Try not to worry too much, DS2 was a very fussy eater and literally lived on jam on toast, pancakes, weetabix and yoghurt from the age of 2-3. In the end I just gave in and would stick to what I know he likes to make sure he ate something. It's only recently of his own accord he has started trying different things and has started eating all sorts now!0 -
maybe he's gearing up for a growth spurt with the peanut butter fluffysox? Is there a professional you can talk to about it?
lobey I can't work out whether you ate the peas or used them as an ice pack lol!
I'm still doing aqua aerobics at the moment - I've got to keep moving otherwise I'll end up being an exhausted statue.0 -
I'm now thoroughly fed up of being pregnant. Back and stomach pains are annoying. pain in groin is making it difficult to walk. Heartburn is horrendous and I'm continually tired
.
I keep hoping I go early but knowing my luck ill go over my date.
