Sorry to hear you're having a bedtime Cleo, wishing you all the best.

Just saw the list and realised I'm number 2! How did that happen?! Feel as though I'll go overdue though, she's pretty comfortable in there.

Have been struggling to get midwife appts, every time I try and book one they're fully booked... The receptionist advised me to wait till next week, I told her that's ridiculous as I'll be one day over and should be seen before that! Anyway, there's a drop in clinic this morning so heading over to that instead.

Out and about today seeing family and friends but finding the driving really exhausting! Must make the most of the freedom whilst I can though.

I'm starting to feel quite worried about baby arriving - just don't feel ready. We don't have a nursery and people have been judgemental about this. But what else can we do in a one bedroom house?! Planning on moving early next year so I didn't think it'd be a problem :(

    Evening all :)

Haven't posted in a few days congrats on all the new arrivals :) can't believe I'm 6th on the list and I'm having my section on 10th September so no chance on being overdue. I've got a growth scan tomorrow not sure there's much point to be honest, it's because the midwife measured me at 36 weeks at my last appointment when I was 35+2 and said it felt a big baby and then the doctor checked and only measured me at 32 weeks who knows lol not to worry either way baby will be here within the next 2 weeks.

I'm really fed up now getting lots of back ache and Braxton hicks OH is getting concerned says I should mention it to the doctor tomorrow I've told him its normal but because I've never had them before its all new for him he's panicking

Anyway take care everyone, hope we all get some good sleep tonight :) xx

I'm having a growth scan on tues, at 39 weeks!! Personally i think its pointless, because its not as though they can do anything is it!
Baby is measuring 34 weeks, which is small i know and dd was over 8lb. I'm just thinking of it as reassurance that baby is in the correct position before birth, doesnt matter for u with a c-section. I had a section with dd because she was breech, so this birth business is all new to me :-/ although my last sction wasnt arranged until 39+2, so theres still time for it.
I'm also getting loads of bh's, although i had a more relaxed day yesterday and only had a couple, dd is with her dad again today so i'm not planning much again. Wonder if i'll have less again.

38+1 today, getting fed up of heartburn and not neing able to get out of bed or off the sofa, but apart from that i'm making the most of the calm :)
Still here..... but working on that!

Is your mum one of the ones who want to go to appointments/scans/be in the delivery room types? MIL tried to weasel her way into those as well, she didn't manage to, but did turn up at the hospital within a hour of DD1 being born. I wasn't impressed!!

    That sounds like my mil!!
I have a dd, but shes not my husbands,so this is mil's first grandchild. I found out the other day shes book the week off after due date, bil told me,luckily they only live down the road so its not as thiugh she'll want to stay here but i'm sure we'll see planty of her. Shes also the kind of person who'll just happen to pass the hospital 20 seconds after delivery, if not during.....
She asked if she could come to my scan appointment last week, but i managed to put her off, so yesterday when i had next weeks scan appointment through i started to text her and then decided not to. I dont want anyone at my appointments, unless dh wants to take time off work to come, which i think is pointless. A friend keeps offering 2, and shes got a 10 month old, i can just imagine him sitting in clinic for 2 hours waiting to see the consultant!!
Also mil is the kind who would follow me into the room with the mw and consultant to be nosey and not just go and wait in the waiting room for me :-/
    Sorry moan over!! Lol ;)

Hugs to everyone who needs them xxx

We did well in tesco last night, doubled up our clubcard vouchers and got fitted sheets that were £6.50 for a pack of 2 (got 2 packs), and 2 cellular blankets that were £3.75 each, and the most adorable furry coat/jacket that has a hood with ears on. Obviously not necessary but gorgeous :D

Thankfully our parents have been fine pregnancy wise - MIL and GRan in law though have been very disappointed that they can't buy dolls/prams for winegum - we've said if she asks for them when she's old enough to then fine she can have them, but otherwise we don't want her having such Girly toys - probably sounds weird to a lot of people, but we don't want her having such a stereotype from a young age, would rather her play at building things or have more uni-sex toys. They obviously want her to be a really Girly girl, which we don't want unless that's what winegum decides for herself. That has put a spanner in the works especially for MIL, but she knows she has to respect our wishes. I suggested instead of a doll/pram she has a toy workbench - that didn't go down well lol :p

Cleo I don't know if this will help - but this was Erin way back when we were still in hospital... for those who don't know the story my waters sprung a slow puncture around the mid 33 week mark, and I went in to be checked out with period type pains - leading to her being born just before the 34 week mark (she missed out because the clocks had changed the previous day!) - 4lb 15 when she was born... now a whopping 98th centile 16 month old in age 2-3 years clothes and even the neo-natal doctors don't recognise her as being an ex preemie.

She'd have been the equivalent of mid-35 weeks gestation here - think it was the day we came home from hospital - just found it on my photobucket and it might put it into perspective a bit.

And this was how she was at just about the 1 year mark in contrast (the great Tesco dummy heist)

:rotfl: I was thinking the same thing.

MIL took I think about 5 days off after DS was born to come and help out, but thankfully she didn't just turn up she would ring/text first. Also had my mum staying for a week to help out.
Think MIL is planning on doing the same again this time (her boss is letting her just tell them once baby is born and take her leave from there). I dont mind too much and I just tell her when shes getting too much :D

Cleo - Hope baby stays put for as long as possible, what a shock for you. Just remember though, you will both be in the best possible place.
    Big hugs xx

    Ha ha! :)
No, sorry,I'm due on the 10th and she's booked off from the week of the 16th, I'll be induced on the 17th if i haven't gone naturally because of my previous section. Apparently it was the only week she was allowed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
