Pushchairs are such minefields. They're all rediculously expensive and you never know if they're going to be any good

So there's hope for me thenI'm hoping I won't bleed so much this time. I might be having a section and a few people have said they didn't bleed so much then but you never know! X
I want Ewan the sheep!! It's so cute! Ive had it on 'baby's wish list' but I'm trying to only keep to set budgets (yawn!) and I'm not sure I have any amazon vouchers due. We are also saving up for a new corner sofabed so DH will probably moan.. Argh but it's very cute!
My parcels arrived! Delivered to a shop but the courier had said he delivered it to a company that went under a few years agoI'm pleased though!
I feel very tired and headachy today. Keep snapping at my son I feel like an awful mother when I'm like this
Nene pushchairs are a minefieldI think it's a normal situation to go through at least 2 or 3 different ones with one child! Well I did as the silver cross we got to begin with was awful, then the 3 wheeler kept tipping over (live on a hill) but the 3rd is perfect!

DS slept much better last night. Woke at 9:45pm shouting us that he needed the potty. And our next wake up call was after 6am again shouting for potty. But for the first time this pregnancy I woke needing a potty too lol.
Sat waiting for second blood test of GTT. Bored, drowsy and getting hungry. Need food and a cup of tea

I've ordered a Ewan
worth a go plus the resale on them on eBay is more than the 19.99 I'm paying so even if it doesn't work nothing lost
Kscarlet - glad your bag is sorted

Fluffy glad your DS slept much better xx definatly makes a difference!
I caved and ordered the sheep! I did think I can always sell it on. I do still want to get baby a light show as that was the best thing ever for my DS but I'm still looking out for the right one. I figured Ewan is worth a shot if baby is unsettled/ has colic etc as I know last time I would've tried anything so thanks for posting Finch xxTrying to save for a deposit

Not updated for a while, still been reading though.
Congratulations on all the new babies - gorgeous pictures
Work have finally sorted out how many days holiday I have left - thankfully 5 days more than I thought so finishing work 3weeks & 2days before bump is due. 9 weeks today is my last day - I cannot wait!!!
Re maternity clothes. I quite like new look & peacocks clothes. Nice and cheap. My mom has also bought me a knitted poncho from tescos to use as a coat when it hopefully goes cold, as I refuse to spend a fortune on a maternity coat that I'm only going to wear for a month or two.
Went to see my DH brother & his family earlier this week and came home with a huge bag full of baby clothes from their daughter who is 19 months old. Our friends have also had girls and are throwing all the old clothes at us. Our little one is never going to be able to wear everything we've been given let alone the stuff we have already bought.
Hope everyone well xx

Girls - thank you for feeling the same way as me with your first babies! : )
I had a moment in hospital today when I was having my GTT where I was looking for a magazine to keep me occupied and I stood there in front of Marie Clare and thought 'no - I can't read about fashion. Too boring!' So I bought Ideal Home magazine instead. I've changed already!! Didn't quite go as far as Parenting magazine though!
Hospital were bamboozled as to why I was having a GTT as I'm 34 weeks. Then she asked when next antenatal was and I said 38 weeks so she questioned that as well! I don't know! Ask the midwife! Am I meant to see someone between 34 and 38 weeks? It is ticked on my pink notes as needing to go every fortnight from now but that's not happening! I am going to birthing centre for a look round though..could they be doing checks there? Confused! I thought fairly soon they would be starting to have a feel for where baby is and check he is in right sort of place.
Thank you for the Ewan link - I nearly bought that in Mamas and Papas for £30..glad I didn't!0 -

I'm into double figures on pushchairs over two kids.
I've had a Hauck - hated it, rickety, crap instructions, DH picked the colour and I hated that as well. Icandy Cherry - loved it - huuuuuge basket but two piece folds are annoying and I got pregnant again and needed a double. A Koochi single stroller which still gets the odd bit of use now when I only have one kid with me - but I don't like and if I'm going to end up using a single stroller again heavily I'll buy something better.
Doubles I've had -
B-Dual... just got too heavy for me to get up the hills when our local bus service got cancelled.
Phil and Teds - I still keep this for use when I need to get buses. Probably going to sell it soon since we're getting a tram extension built and they're soooo accessible I won't need something I can squish into pushchair spaces on buses - and I very rarely catch the bus anyway.
Cosatto double - lives at my mums cos it's pink. Saves us having to fit a buggy in the car boot on the way up to hers.
M+P Kato double - lives in the car boot for quick nipping out to the shops type incidents. With the size of my kids now it's getting REALLY heavy to push so I use it as little as possible.
Really old V1 Nipper - have this one up for sale as I bought it dirt cheap and loved it so much I bought a V2 Nipper which I'm currently using which is soooo light and easy to push (a double you can breeze along the high street pushing one-handed is a rare thing to find) but I'm tempted to buy a brand new V3 Nipper since they're narrower and come in a really really lush purple colour.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Ttc40, I wouldn't feel bad about giving up work. Nothing is more important than the health of you and your baby right now.
Still waiting here... I've tried pretty much every known method to kick start labour. Anyone know of any more obscure ways? if nothing else it's a laugh trying it all and it's keeping me occupied! Baby is going to come when he's ready, not when I am!0
