I feel for you walkingonadream. After asking for advice on here, I convinced my mum to wait till OH goes back to work (after 2 weeks paternity leave) before coming to stay with me. She was very reasonable about it and I thought everything was sorted until she phoned to say she'd booked her flight anyway and seemed to have no recollection of what we'd discussed. Given the baby hasn't arrived yet, chances of us having two weeks to ourselves are looking more and more slim
Thinking of telling her if she's here too early she will need to stay in a hotel!0 -
Quick question. Pp how did u get the bounty pics for free?
£85 for a USB stick with 10 images on it! :-O0 -
No advice walkingonadream - but sending you a hug x definitely not being hormonal, there hearts are in the right place I suppose but they are definitely being over the top, hope you manage to sort something xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Aww congrats Baleb..please let us know how it went when you feel up to it. I like reading birth stories (just me?!)
Continual Diamond - Lovely nursery - colours lovely!!! Going to try and post a picture when mine is done but it will be a week or two : )
Walkingonadream - I feel for you hun. That would be way too full on for me. If you politely tell them you feel like you'll need space are they likely to listen? I hate that with names as well! Your baby your choice what you call him! My mum slagged off my name choice on Saturday and it took everything not to say 'my name is sh** so don't make out to be some oracle on names!'
MV - Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nursery just finished and your going into labour! Yikes...good luck, hope everything goes ok and post back with pics.
In fact can you all post pics when you've had your babies! I love it. So broody which is handy....
Bounty pics cost that much? No thanks I've got a camera and can quite easily take 10 pics and put them on my own USB stick! (or OH can...I haven't a clue!)0 -
Thanks kscarlet. I expected to have a rest but have come back nackered thanks to an uncomfortable bed! Nice to know I've been missed; there was no Internet or 3G where we were, so I've missed being on here (how sad!)
How are you? I can't see you on the list anymore
Yes you were missed, I was going to post asking where you were today but I noticed you had posted, I'm glad everything's ok but sorry to hear you're holiday wasn't as relaxing as hoped x I don't think I've added myself to list yet, I keep forgetting! I will try do it over the next few days as I'm on my phone so will do it on laptop. I'm good thanks, finding things a bit exhausting with a toddler who wants to do something everyday I'm not working! He has far too much energy! How are you feeling? X
Bangton: Bounty pics are ridiculously overpriced! We didn't buy any as the packages were very expensive and I wasn't that happy with photos, I much preferred the photos we took ourselves! X
Hugs walkingonadream xx once you're baby is here you really need to enjoy the first couple of weeks with your OH, I'm making sure we don't end up with constant family/ inlaws butting in like last time! I spent far too much time making tea/ cooking for them when I should have been enjoying my baby! XTrying to save for a deposit
4000/ 10000 saved so far..0 -
Aww thanks chick
glad you're well. I'm ok thanks...now in the middle of decorating DH's study, before we have new carpets throughout the house. Then to clear the junk out of baby's room so it can start to resemble a bedroom!
I'd add you to the list, but I'd probably mess it upDS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Well done ladies! It's been a busy few days of babies, beautiful names all round and glad to hear they're here safely.0

KScarlet - My brother had them when him and his partner had their babies and to be honest they were awful! My niece is beautiful and she just looked red and angry in the Bounty pics! Having said that PP's pic was nice that she posted other day.
Happy to take my own photos really...every time I step foot in Mothercare I'm offered their photo packages too. For £85 I could buy a ton of nice things for my baby0 -
Oop another post but just wanted to ask a quick question. I asked this before but I was on the 12-24 weeks thread when I did so it didn't feel as relevant as I was fit and well then!
Bit random but how far have you/are you planning to work before maternity leave? I'll be 38 weeks by the time I give up. Pregnant colleagues/friends seem to have given up about 5 weeks before their due dates and as I am struggling a little I've really been thinking if this is the right step for me but I have this little battle with myself daily where I just think 'push on weakling!'0 -
Bangton, I'm planning on working up to near 38 weeks. Fortunately I'm office based, I won't lie I'm getting increasingly tired (am 33 weeks tomorrow) but I want to try to be able to take as much time off with baby as possible.0
