Been to m.w. and sulking about being told to undergo glucose intolerance test by eating ginger biscuits!

Appointment not for 4 weeks but I'm completely unreasonable with blood tests and this involves two.

I've just reached bmi of 30 so that's triggered it even though I measure fine at 28 when I'm 29+5 so doesn't suggest big baby.

Double sulking as hate all this faff but was pressured into making today's appointment.

Hey everyone

Just to update you that baby Hazel was finally born yesterday at 12:29 weighing 9lbs exactly

Will be back to do a birth story but for now suffice to say it wasn't a positive birth experience lol

Congrats Claree hope you get to go home soon

Thanks for all the replies about decorating the nursery. I purchased a moses basket v early on in a pregnancy last year then MC'd. I had to hide the basket initially but it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. It still feels scary the idea of sorting the room but like most of you have said as I get further along I don't think I would be upto it, then once baby is here I will probably be too busy with a baby and toddler. x

I am hoping to start sorting the room this week then decide where to put stickers. I am loving all of the nursery photos MV your nursery furniture is lovely I would like to paint ours but I don't think the wardrobe could be painted too easily so might look odd!

By eating ginger biscuits? We have horrid green juice here (2 cups) after a 14 hour fast I'd much rather have a nice ginger biscuit I'm having a second GTT test this week. First one (mainly because my first baby was a whopper) came back normal but since then I've had glucose in urine twice.

Thanks kscarlet. I expected to have a rest but have come back nackered thanks to an uncomfortable bed! Nice to know I've been missed; there was no Internet or 3G where we were, so I've missed being on here (how sad!)

I have my GTT test on Wednesday. I think we get lucozade here lol
