And thats the kind of labour I want this time :rotfl:
Congratulations
Haha, no you don't, trust me. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life. 0-fully dilated in less than an hour is not fun! My first labour was so relaxing and not really painful, but quite long and drawn out (7 hours from 8cm - fully). I never understood the screamers on OBEM, now I do!!
Thanks for the congrats everyone.

Congratulations Gizmodo- speedy birth :0
Asked mum yesterday to have DS overnight tonight, to give us a break. He is waking fairly frequently at the moment. Also DH and I haven't had a night out just the two of us in ages, always use our babysitters for meals out with other people, friends birthdays etc.
Anyway she decided to collect him at 1pm, and I really appreciated it. DH and I were both tired, which for me at the moment means I get tearful over tiny things, read a magazine received at health visitor appt- mainly talks about breastfeeding. I just got stressed as last time I couldn't master it and ended up crying. So slept the rest of the afternoon as did DH and then we both felt better. Had a nice (and huge) meal out- stuffed now.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

So one of my friends is hosting a baby shower / garden party for me in a couple of weeks. I thought it might be nice to get some favours for guests. (I haven't invited many, will prob just be half a dozen girls, close friends. Just be nice to have an afternoon to relax/ catch up. Two of the girls are vegan, so food or toiletries would need to be carefully chosen. One is also a fab florist so flowers not an option to give her.
So my ideas: a nice chocolate bar wrapped in blue tissue paper and cellophane with a personalised message and perhaps a poem or quote stuck on and some blue ribbon.
A little candle, wrapped fancy as above.
Or something like this: http://www.babyshowerhost.co.uk/baby-carriage-design-key-chains-blue-p-10505.html

Opinions please
I think a nice vegan/ non-vegan chocolate bar sounds lovely. I really knocked myself out for my baby shower and there was no point really - people want to see you and I was exhausted for the first 2 hours! A brilliant vegan cake which could probably be made into cupcakes is the chocolate cake on the first page of this http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Cake-Scoffer-Cheap-Cooking/dp/0950899062/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376780220&sr=8-1&keywords=cake+scoffer . I've only made the whole cake but everyone absolutely loves it!
I ordered loads of stuff from babyshowerhost but would not order again - If you don't pay for next day delivery then they don't even look at your order for at least a week unless you give them a kick up the bum! Babyshowerhost lets you order stuff that they don't even have stock - so beware! My party stuff arrived the day before the party!0 -
BadlyWrittenPoem wrote: »We bought a cot at twenty weeks in one of my pregnancies and the baby died the following week and I can honestly say that I don't and didn't regret having bought it when we did and whilst it was sad seeing the cot until we put it out of the way, it didn't make anything worse or harder.
The same thing happened to me but at 35 weeks. I know I'll regret it if everything works out well this time but I'm not buying, building or decorating anything except the absolute basics until this one actually comes out breathing.
